GlobeIn Benefit Basket ($19.95/month) is a monthly subscription box featuring one handcrafted good from a remarkable, remote artisan to give them global reach. Each box is curated around a monthly theme selected by their editor with the aim of helping you experience new and interesting products and cultures. The GlobeIn Benefit Basket is a mini version of the popular GlobeIn Artisan Box ($35/month).
GlobeIn ships via USPS. Boxes ship on the 15th of the month (I received mine early for review purposes). Orders placed after the 15th of the calendar month will ship on the 15th of the following calendar month. If boxes sell out before the 15th your subscription will begin the following month.
The October 2015 GlobeIn Benefit Basket theme was “Cozy” and included the following items:
~Fair Trade Free Weave Scarf by Marquet ($21.99): I am not sure exactly how many different colors of this scarf GlobeIn sent out, but I am more than happy with my cream one. It’s soft and cozy and different than most other winter scarves I have. It’s a good in between fall / winter scarf. It’s not super heavy, but it’s heavier than just a “fashion” scarf.
~Palm Leaf Basket by GlobeIn (Mexico) ($12): All GlobeIn Artisan boxes include a palm leaf basket. If the items all fit, they arrive packed inside the basket. I actually kind of wish the Benefit Basket didn’t include one. I would love if they just did 2 or 3 items just relating to the theme for this box.
All totaled I came up with a value of $33.99 for the October 2015 GlobeIn Benefit Basket. It was a great theme this month and the scarf alone makes up the cost of the box.
