MunchPak is a monthly food subscription service and ecommerce website that aims to introduce the best, new, and popular snacks from all over the world to the average Joe. MunchPak offers three different sized packs – the MunchPak Mini ($9.95/month) includes 5-6 snacks,  the MunchPak Original ($19.95/month) which includes 10+ snacks each month and the MunchPak Family Pak ($39.95/month), which includes 20+ snacks. I received the Original MunchPak to review.

First Look

The box was packed with treats!  I also noticed that they had switched up the actual box itself and now have the fun flying MunchPak box on the front.

The Card

MunchPak doesn’t include a detailed information card in their paks (each box is a little different), but you can head over to their site to read more about the snacks you received.  Here is what my box included:

~Lotte Happy Promise Choco Pie: Choco Pie is two chocolate covered cookies with marshmallow sandwiched between them.  It’s just the right amount of marshmallow and I thought it was delicious.

~Lotte Kancho Chco Biscuit: These are similar (very similar) to those cookies with Koala’s on them. And just like those Koala cookies, these are delicious.  They are stuffed with chocolate and really don’t have a single thing not to like.

~Double Max 7 Days Vanilla Flavour with Sour Cherry Fillings: Meh. I was not a fan of this.  It’s outer croissant was okay, but the cherry / vanilla filling was just kind of weird.

~Bourbon Petit Wafer Brown Sugar Flavor: I knew these were some sort of wafers, but I couldn’t place the flavor.  Turns out it’s brown sugar.  They were okay – a bit different, but okay.

~Umaibo Corn Potage Flavor: This was described as a “crunchy and savory corn snack” and that’s just what it tastes like – corn.  I don’t think of corn as a snack so this isn’t really my favorite.

~Welded KiddieMix Assorted Fruit Filled Candy: This is an assortment of fruit filled candies.  I have tried a few of them and have liked them.  I like the outer hard candy more than the filling, but it’s all good.

~Tostitos Salsa Verde: I liked these on their own, but I think they would be even better in a taco salad with cheese and meat and sour cream!

~Beiukobu: I really have no idea what these are!  Does anyone know?  I thought they tasted like “weird” wheat sticks, but they have a picture of olives on them, so maybe they were supposed to taste like olives?  I am not really sure.

~Haribo Berries: I think Haribo anything is fantastic.  I don’t know that I have ever received these berried before, but they were quite flavorful.  They really look like real raspberries, but they have more of a sugar taste.

~Mini Takis Zombie: The package on these says they are “Zombie Nitro Flavor”, which turns out is Habanero & Cucumber.   I like the rolled shape of these tortilla chips, but I am not real into the flavor.  It might be an acquired taste.

This box had 10 snacks, which works out to about $2 per snack.  I think that’s more than fair because I don’t know where’d you’d get a lot of these snacks in stores in the US.
