Stitch Fix is a personal styling service for women. With Stitch Fix, you provide your style, size (they also do maternity fixes), and budget preferences, and they will send you a package of stylish goodies to try on at home. You only pay for the items you love and decide to keep. There is a $20 styling fee which is applied to your order should you decide to keep any / all of the pieces. If you don’t keep anything, you don’t receive a refund of the fee. If you keep all of the pieces, you get a 25% discount on everything! Also, I should mention that you are only charged once you “check out” at Stitch Fix. You have a few days to try everything on and the box comes with a bag and a prepaid USPS return label so you can easily ship back the pieces you aren’t interested in.

I loved this first look. Lots of different patterns and textures.
Each Stitch Fix comes with an information card which includes a listing of everything in the box, prices, and then a total of how much everything would be if you kept it all (it deducts your $20 styling fee and the 25% discount for keeping all of your items). Just to give you an idea, my box had a merchandise total of $316. If you keep one or two items it’s the price listed minus your $20 styling fee. If you keep everything, you take 25% off the total and then deduct the $20 styling fee. Here are the pieces I received:
~Street Level Alder Zip Top Tote ($58): I like this tote and think it’s s perfect fall item. It’s soft and has a removable board (?) at the bottom so you can stand it up on it’s own or leave it as is. Sadly I don’t need a new tote, so I am sending this back. Verdict: Returned.
~Market & Spruce Osborn Button Down Top ($58): I am SO into plaid right now so this is a no brainer. I absolutely love (like LOVE) that it’s a deep v-neck with no buttons at the top. Also, the top is more fitted than your standard button down. Super cute! Verdict: Kept.
~RD Style Iana Twisted Seam Sweater ($68): Meh. I don’t love this or hate this. It’s something I would throw on in a rush and probably something I would keep if it had a lower price point or a softer material, but not something I am keeping for $68. Verdict: Returned.
~Loveappella Evie Draw String Funnel Neck Sweatshirt ($64): Yes yes yes! This shirt is so me! I actually bought two similar (but made with a much thicker material) tops from the JCrew Outlet recently. I also received a similar top (same brand, different material) in my August Stitch Fix and loved that too. If Stitch Fix sends me more of these, I will keep them too! Verdict: Kept.
~Kut from the Kloth Jonathan Skinny Corduroy ($68): I REALLY like these (I am into red right now too) and almost kept them. Then I realized that for the number of times I would probably wear them it wouldn’t be worth it. They are totally awesome though. Verdict: Returned.
I really liked this month’s Fix! I thought the picks were very “me” and I really liked that I didn’t receive any items over $100. While I only kept two of the five items, I really felt that this was a great fix for me!
