~Good morning! It’s been a rainy / cold few days around here, but I am hoping it clears up by Halloween. Trick-or-Treating in the rain is NOT fun. At all. WB had his Halloween party at school yesterday which was fun and L has his along with his school parade on Friday. The parade will crazy and I should probably head over there now if I want to get a parking spot at the school ;).
~Let’s see, I still have a few October subscription boxes coming and there are already a few rolling in for November. To round out the week I should be getting For the Faithful, Nina Garcia Quarterly (it finally shipped!!), Hammock Pack, A Little Bundle, Stitch Fix and a handful of others.
~Has anyone tried the Starbucks Frappula – their special Halloween frappuccino? I have not, but I am thinking WB and I will make a run there today. I’m a sucker and need to try all of the new drinks they offer.
~I can’t even believe I am typing this, but Uber is delivering kittens today between 11am and 3pm. Furr real (see what I did there)! If you live in one of the 50 participating#UberKITTENS cities you can log into your Uber account, select the “Kittens” option and a kitten which is up for adoption at a local animal shelter will arrive at your office. It’s $30 and you get 15 minutes of snuggle time. Please someone do this and let us all know how it all works!
~I’m a little late on this news, but have you heard about the latest Oreo flavor? Cinnamon Bun Oreo‘s with cinnamon cookies. Hmm. It’s not clear when they are coming our, but I am sure that we’ll have to try them when they do. My favorite special Oreo is still the S’more. L swears the Brownie Batter is the best, but he’s just wrong ;). Rumor has it a “Filled Cupcake” flavor is coming soon too, which does sound good too!

My office does the Uber Kittens and Uber Puppies. It is amazing. We try every year, but it is so popular we don’t always get them.
It is a fantastic mid-week, mid-day pick me up though! We all love it, and all the other offices in our company get jealous.
The animals arrive with their handlers from the shelter, as well as an Uber rep, and you hang out for 15 minutes, and you can ask questions about the shelter, the animal, etc. You can also apply to adopt the animal. In our area (DC), you can’t just take the puppy/kitten right away, but it raises awareness, and bumps up adoptions!
Oh my goodness! KITTENS! I’m in Atlanta and am totally going to try and get them to come to my office. Thanks for letting me know!
I just don’t like the flavored Oreos. These look really sweet.
We tried the Frappula yesterday. It’s not coffee based so not really my cup of tea. More like a thin shake. Loved the mocha flavor, not so much the white chocolate milk raspberry part. But I managed to drink a grande without much trouble.
Okay, kittens and puppies should be brought to every workplace once a week for stress relief.
I’ve been looking for the Cinnamon Bun Oreos but haven’t found them. My favorite is still the Gingerbread ones. I go crazy over those.

I wish I would have bought the banana cream oreos when I saw them years ago. It’s my one true oreo regret.
I should get the uber puppy/kittens but I so do not need to adopt any more animals (we have 2 cats and a dog.. well, probably 2 dogs now since the lady we’ve been dog sitting for said we should rehome them. One’s at my parents house because the one at my house isn’t a fan of her old family.. lol). But the other day, a guy brought his cute dog into my workplace and pretty much left him with me while he shopped around. The dog was so dang cute, my coworkers and I had a blast with him. That, plus the recent news that we’re not going to be open on black Friday (plus getting holiday pay for it AND Thanksgiving) have made my week so awesome!
I should have put it in yesterday’s post, but I haven’t even bought Halloween candy yet. I did see that Safeway has a few big bags for $5/pop, including tootsie rolls- my favorite that I refuse to buy any time other than Halloween or Christmas. We bought 2 pretty big pumpkins and we haven’t carved them yet either! I always say I’m going to make some awesome DIY costume too but guess what: haven’t even thought about it!.
That Starbucks drink just doesn’t look good to me.. and now that I found out that it’s not coffee based, I’m even less interested! But I’m planning on trying the pumpkin spice Chai tomorrow. 🙂
