Two questions today..
1. What kind of cell phone do you have? Is it a smartphone or no? I’ve used an iPhone since they came out with them all those years ago and I don’t see myself switching anytime soon. It works great, I’m used to it and I use it for everything (like taking all of my subscription box pictures). Plus, if I ever switched to something else I fear I would have to give up the unlimited data plan I am grandfathered in on and yeah, that’s not about to happen! What about you? If you don’t use a smartphone, what kind of phone options are out there these days? I will admit, I do sometimes miss my StarTAC and other no screen flip phones because you never had to worry about those breaking. They could take a beating!
2. Star Wars. Are you excited about the new movie? Did you buy tickets last night? I will admit, I didn’t even know exactly when The Force Awakens was arriving in theaters. When I heard they started selling tickets last night, I figured it was “soon” – like in a few weeks and was shocked it’s not till December 18th! That’s like 2 months away. Have movie tickets ever went on sale this early before? But anyway, we are excited about it, but not super excited about it. We’re got to get L all caught up on the previous episodes before we can see this one!
I always feel So silly answering these so early, but I get up early and have nothing better to do until it’s time to get ready for work, so…
1. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4… I’ve had Samsung smartphones since forever and don’t see myself switching, I’m just used to them. My husband’s iPhone confuses me when I have to use it… So different! I’m also really hard on phones and these seem to be more durable!
2. Yes, but not excited enough to a) buy tickets last night or b) go to the first showings. Crowds in movie theaters are so claustrophobic, so we may wait a month or so before going. My husband (huge beer lover) will definitely use it as an excuse to go to Alamo Drafthouse and try new beer(s).
I don’t have a smartphone. I have some ancient non-flip phone that costs $15 a month and I have a landline. I don’t like what smartphones do to people. I see so many people fiddling with their phones while driving, ignoring their families at restaurants, missing their stops on the elevator because they are too absorbed in playing games, etc. (Don’t even get me started about people who use their phones in public restrooms.) And then there are the jerks in front of me in the checkout line who can’t get Cartwheel or their online coupons to work, holding things up for everyone else. And I hate how every single work function where they bring in food turns into a comparison of different people’s phones. Ugh, how boring. (I could probably go on a lot longer but I will stop now.)
I’ll probably see the Star Wars movie after it’s been out for awhile and avoid the rush. I didn’t know when it was coming out, either.
WHY do people insist on bringing phones into the restroom? WHY? You can’t just end your call? You need to talk to someone while you go to the bathroom? AHHHHH. I also hate when people bring food into the bathroom and leave it on the counter. No no no. Just no.
I currently have an iPhone 6 Plus. I am known for going back and forth between iPhone and blackberry however, now that I’m use to this huge screen I don’t think I can go smaller. Other people’s phones are so tiny in comparison.
Star Wars….not me…crowded theaters aren’t my thing lately, but my husband and sons will probably go eventually. I’ll wait for the rental.
I have also had an Iphone since very early on. I currently have an Iphone 6. I did have a very cool phone that flipped top and side. I miss that phone. I still have it and the kids play with it.
On a side note i get a little stirry and want to try other phones. But i have soooooooooo many years of apps and music. I think it would lead to my demise if i switched.
We are excited to see star wars. But not enough to wait in crazy lines or prepurchase tix. I dont even want a crowded theater. We shall see how this plays out. But we did see Hotel Transylvania 2 this past weekend and it was hysterical. We love the first one too but i think the second was funnier.
I have a Motorola moto e. It is a smart phone, but I don’t have a data plan. Just about everywhere I go has free WiFi, and the places that don’t are out in nature where I don’t need the internet, so it’s perfect for me. I only pay $10 (+tax) each month, which is the real reason I love it. My boyfriend has the same phone, same provider but he has a data plan for $25 (+tax).
I am excited about Star Wars, but I haven’t bought tickets. I have a gift card for a movie theater that I got for Christmas last year, but I’m not really a fan of movie theaters. If people would be quiet and keep their phones off and not block the view or bump into me (and get off my lawn, lol) maybe I’d change my mind. But I’d rather not pay $12/ticket to be annoyed.
Ahh, you should come to the theatre by my house. GIANT seats, so much legroom and they deliver the food right to your seats. you can’t even bump the seat in front of you if you try. It’s amazing.
There are a few of those here too.. With beer! But I think tickets are like $30 or something. I think tron legacy was the last movie I saw in theater.. Though goosebumps just came out and I got one of my nieces into the books years ago so I should take her so I can see it.
It’s not quite that bad there, but it’s worth it for sure.
Here in Houston we have one of those where they bring you food. The tix to get in are cheap but the food is pricey. And I totally agree with y’all on talking on the phone in the bathroom. I HIGHLY resent it when people come in chatting up a storm. I also don’t want my friends to chat with me while I am doing my business. And I agree with the people texting me while driving and texting or whatever when they are supposed to be spending time with you. Do they not realize how rude and insulting it is to be on their phone the entire time you spend time together? That was a constant argument with this guy I used to be friends with.
1. I have the iPhone 6s in rose gold. I love the iPhones and iPads and other Mac stuff
2. I miiiight see this at the theater. But it will probably be on dvd. I am more excited about hotel Transylvania.
I have a Droid Mini, and I’ve got to say, I LOVE it!
It’s basically indestructible (seriously, it’s been thrown onto concrete from the shopping cart at least 20 times, accidentally tossed down the stairs, been dropped into the toilet.. and NOTHING. It still works awesome!). (why yes, I do have a toddler, why do you ask?)
And yeah, we’re excited for the new movie.. but we’re cheap, so we’ll probably wait and redbox it or something at home LOL.
I have an iPhone 6 which I love. I also have one of those cases that covers the top? So I can throw the phone in my purse, on the table etc and know that nothing touches the screen.
We have a friend who is a member of the 501st so he is getting us tickets through the whole Star Wars club thing. Not sure when we will be going, but CAN. NOT. WAIT. Of course I’m one of those that waited in line for 3 hours when the original movie came out. And took a day off work to wait in line for episode 6 when it came out. And waited in line for all the other movies. So yeah, I will probably find myself waiting in line at some point to see the movie.
And no, I will not be wearing a costume, but I’m pretty sure others will 🙂
