My Birchbox Limited Edition: The Charmed Life box arrived today! The Birchbox Limited Edition: The Charmed Life is $40 (a $120 value) and is filled with chic treasures that keep your space organized in style, while adding modern design touches.
As you likely know, Birchbox offers a $10/month beauty subscription service, but every once in a while they also offer limited edition boxes such as this one. These are one time purchases and are completely separate from the monthly subscription.
My Birchbox Limited Edition: The Charmed Life shipped with UPS and took just shy of a week to arrive. It shipped in the cutest blue box with reindeer on it and inside was the actual Charmed Life box.
The box itself was huge! Birchbox released all of the contents of the box when they go on sale so opening them isn’t too much of a surprise.
The Birchbox Limited Edition: The Charmed Life included the following items:
~Canvas Home Dauville Multiple Bud Vase Gold ($25): I have been really into decorating with white and gold in my office lately and this will be perfect. I need to make a point to pick up fresh flowers more often and this will be a nice reminder. It seems like it will hold up well and the hand-painted gold glaze doesn’t look like it’s going to tarnish or flake off.
~Illume Demi Vanity Tin (Anemone) ($10) + Matchbox ($4): I believe the candle is being shipped in a variety of scents, but I received the “Anemone” scent. It’s described as a delicate blend of apple mint, citrus, and patchouli and is “Like being wrapped in your lover’s shirt”. I am not sure I would go that far, but it’s a lighter scent than I was expecting based on the packaging and I really like it.
~Isaac Jacobs Sunburst Picture Frame: I really need to get some more framed pictures up in the house (not on walls, but on tables and dressers). I love this frame and think it will go nicely on my nightstand, but I need to get a 4×4 picture printed.
~NUXE Huile Prodigieuse® ($5.98): NUXE Huile Prodigieuse is a dry oil for your hair, face and body. It’s a great little travel size and I used it on my elbows and to smooth down my hair this afternoon. It worked well for both, but I did learn that a little goes a long way.
~Stephanie Johnson Folding Mirror: This mirror is gorgeous, but I am not really sure it’s something I would throw in my purse and use to touch up my makeup. I do see it as being fabulous for traveling though! I always find mirrors in hotel bathrooms to be awkward to do your makeup in (and the lighting is funny too) and this would be way better if you set it up on a desk and used the natural light from the windows!
~Tocca Crema da Mano in Cleopatra (2oz) ($10): Tocca hasn’t been in subscription boxes in a while and I have missed them! Their hand cream is thick and rich and it always smells so amazing.
~Umbra Geo T Ring Holder ($10): Birchbox’s other limited edition box (The Luxe List) also included a ring holder so I felt that this was a bit of an odd choice. Still, it’s cool and I like the design, so I will find a place for it.
~Mystery Sample Pack: My Mystery Sample pack included Vasanti BrightenUp! (I love that stuff) and a Navy Marcelle Eyeliner. I think I have gotten that exact sample pack before so I didn’t find it too exciting.
I couldn’t find prices for all of the items, but Birchbox says it is a $120 value and they were usually pretty spot on. Initially I wasn’t sure if I was going to get this one, but I am glad I did. It was worth the $40 (I used a coupon code so I paid even less) and I’ll use everything in it. I really hope they come out with more of a “Home / Kitchen” box this year for the holidays, but I don’t know if that will be the case. I believe the Men’s Limited Edition Box is going on sale in the morning though!
If you are interested in ordering you can pick one up here and don’t forget to use one of the following coupon codes to make the deal even better:
~”ARGANOIL” to get a free Bain de Terre Argan Oil & Passion Flower Color Therapy Styling Oil when you spend $50+.
~TAKEOFF20, WELCOMEOFFER20, COMEBACK20, MOBILE20 or TAKEALEAP20 for 20% off your purchase.
You can only use ONE coupon code per purchase, but don’t forget that you can add a Mystery Sample Pack to your cart on ALL orders of $35+ as well.
This box is fabulous! I think I may break down and order one for my mom as a Christmas present. I placed a recent order and got my best Mystery Sample pack yet – the Eyeko black magic eyelash curler and a LOC shadow stick!
My box came today and i love everything in it! I think this box makes a great gift because the beauty products are not specific.
Mine kind of came today? I received a small shipping envelope with the two mystery samples, but no box! All items are listed as “shipped”, and the shipping label on the envelope says the package weighs 4 pounds. I’m hoping to hear back from their customer service soon! lol
The box looks nice though!
Did the products come individually wrapped in the box or were they packed without any extra packaging or wrapping? Just asking as I may want to give some of the items as gifts 🙂
