GlobeIn Benefit Basket ($19.95/month) is a monthly subscription box featuring one handcrafted good from a remarkable, remote artisan to give them global reach. Each box is curated around a monthly theme selected by their editor with the aim of helping you experience new and interesting products and cultures. The GlobeIn Benefit Basket is a mini version of the popular GlobeIn Artisan Box ($35/month).
GlobeIn ships via USPS. Boxes ship on the 15th of the month (I received mine early for review purposes). Orders placed after the 15th of the calendar month will ship on the 15th of the following calendar month. If boxes sell out before the 15th your subscription will begin the following month.
GlobeIn had released full spoilers for this before mine arrived so I knew what to expect. Still I was excited to check out which variation I received.
The November 2015 GlobeIn Benefit Basket theme was “Bedroom” and included the following items:
~Seahorse Pillow Pet (Guatemala) ($22): I love these little guys! The one in my full box this month was red and this one is a fun green / teal. The back of this is more teal, while the pictured side is more green. I like that they sent variety of colors and patterns and look forward to seeing what everyone receives.
~Palm Leaf Basket (Mexico) ($12): All GlobeIn Benefit Basket’s come with the plan leaf basket. This month’s basket is an all-new design and comes in a variety of colors. I mentioned it in my full box review, but not only is it a different shape, but it also doesn’t have a lid. GlobeIn suggests popping a box of tissues in it and keeping it on your nightstand. This purple is gorgeous and I plan on doing that with one of my baskets.
All totaled I came up with a value of $34 for the November 2015 GlobeIn Benefit Basket. I loved the pillow and the new basket style is a nice switch up. I would like to see them offer two products relating to the theme in the Benefit Basket each month though instead of one theme item plus the basket.
If you are interested in ordering new customers can use coupon code “TRYBENEFIT” to get 35% off your first month of a 3-month GlobeIn Benefit Basket.
I have absolutely no use for the seahorse (honestly, my dog would probably destroy it), and yet I think it is about the cutest thing ever. I don’t subscribe to this so I may have to seek one out.
