The Box

MyIrelandBox ships from Ireland and, in general, takes about a week to arrive. I am always impressed with their speedy delivery time.

First Look

I never really know what MyIrelandBox is going to send.  I have received all sorts of things from them over the years from stuffed sheep to mugs to beauty items to glass pieces!

The Information Card

The November 2015 MyIrelandBox included the following items:

~Sealed with Irish Love – Water Pump Tea Towel: This is gorgeous!  Thanks to subscription boxes I have accumulated quite a collection of tea towels.  The artist hand draws traditional Irish imagery which is then turned into textiles and cards.  Both items are useful and I love how they represent items seen in and around the country.

~Avokado & Co. – Handmade Sign: The translation on this sign reads “I love sweet cake”, which is totally true as I do love sweet cake!  I also love the colors of this sign, the fonts they used and basically everything else about it.  These signs were custom made by the artist just for MyIrelandBox subscribers!

~Simone Walsh Irish Larder Theme Oven Mitt: According to the information card the products depicted on the mitt are those that are found in many households around Ireland. I don’t recognize any of them, but I am also not Irish!  I do, however, love these illustrations and think it’s very cool and unique.

I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this box (it gets difficult with exchange rates and the fact that you’d be paying plenty of shipping to get these pieces here), but I think it may have been one of my favorite boxes from them to date.  Everything was totally usable and I loved all of the colors and images!

That oven mitt is spot on when it comes to things found in an Irish pantry. It made me pretty hungry for food from home! If you ever get a chance to try a traditional Irish fry, do it. Best breakfast I’ve ever had.
