My November 2015 POPSUGAR Must Have Box has arrived! I have subscribed to POPSUGAR since they started and I have always loved them.
If you aren’t familiar with them, POPSUGAR Must Have Box is an exciting box full of fun, must-have picks across fashion, beauty, home decor, fitness, and more, which is delivered to your door on a monthly basis. Boxes include full-size products and premium items including tried-and-true classics, celebrity favorites, and brands consumers have yet to discover worth over $100!
POPSUGAR Must Have Box ships via FedEx Smart Post and generally takes about a week to arrive. Some months it takes just four or five days, but this one took the full week. Also, this box seemed to ship later in the month than normal – same as last month.
This month’s box was HEAVY! It wasn’t packed to the brim, but it weighed a ton. It included a lot of breakables, but everything was packed nicely.
The November 2015 POPSUGAR Must Have Box was inspired by “Friends & Family”, “Gratitude”, “Gifting” and “Festivities” and included the following:
~Deepa Gurnani Katie Crystal Headband ($56): This headband is the “festivities” portion of the box I would guess. Never would I ever purchase a headband for $56 (I think my limit would be like $10), but it is gorgeous. Like GORGEOUS. It was handcrafted in India and has beautiful crystal detailing. I don’t know how often I will wear it as a headband, so I am toying with the idea of turning it into a bracelet.
~Tarte Cosmetics Beauty & The Box Amazonian Clay Eye Shadow Quad (Apple of My Eye) ($22): I am not seeing this specific item on the Tarte website and from what I can tell this was part of Kit offered on Sephora.com this fall. The colors are neutral, but you could still dress them up for a holiday night out. I would guess this is another “festive” themed item?
~West Emory Bingo Set ($20): This is totally the “Friends & Family” item from the theme. I am ridiculously excited by this because I LOVE to play Bingo and it’s a game everyone in our household can play. The bingo cards are made from a thick sturdy cardboard which is also what the silver markers and numbers are made out of. It also includes a fold-out card with all of the numbers on them (I am sure there is a bingo term for this but I don’t know it) that you can use to mark the numbers that have been called. I do wish that this set included a bag to pull the bingo numbers out of though.
~Capri Blue Mercury Jewel Box in Rain (4oz) ($18.95): Okay, so I totally thought this candle was going to be bigger. I guess I mixed the part that said it was 4oz? It’s tiny! The Rain scent is beautiful though and the handblown recycled glass box is incredible. I guess it makes sense that it’s not larger because they do suggest using it as a jewelry box after you are done with the candle, but I just wasn’t expecting it to be so small. It will be interesting to see how cleaning this burns and if any residue needs to be cleaned out of the bottom because you can use it as a jewelry box.
~Gramr Gratitude Exclusive Thanksgiving Postcard Pack ($10): When I saw the spoiler for these I wasn’t sure what to expect. They are postcards (and the box also includes a coupon code for $15 off a Gramr subscription), but I think I am going to use them in frames as Thanksgiving decorations. I am totally lacking in Thanksgiving decorations and think this will be nice to accent what I do have. I would consider these to be the “Gratitude” portion of the theme.
~ Terrapin Ridge Farms Pecan Honey Mustard (8oz) ($6): Meh. I highly dislike mustard so even mustard selected by POPSUGAR isn’t going to do it for me. To me this is the “Gifting” part of the box because I am going to gift it to a friend.
~Inkdot Gift Card ($20): Inkdot allows you to turn your digital photos into prints, coasters, iPhone cases and more. The information card suggests using this for holiday gifts so this is the “Gifting” part of the box. I did a little test and the coupon code does NOT include shipping. So it looks like to redeem this you will have to spend money (it looks like shipping is $10 or free on orders of $100+). As a result I am not going to include this in the value of the box.
All totaled I came up with a value of $132.95 for the November POPSUGAR Must Have Box. It wasn’t my favorite box from them, but I do feel like I got my $40 worth. I loved the Bingo set and the eyeshadow and even though the candle is smaller than expected, I do think it’s gorgeous!
What do you think of the November POPSUGAR Must Have Box? The POPSUGAR website is down right now for maintenance, but will be back up next week at which time the Holiday Special Edition Boxes will go on sale. I am giving away one of these November boxes though so make sure you go enter!!! I am hoping we also get the December 2015 theme in the next few days, but we may have to wait until the website is back up.
My eyeshadow is a LOT darker than yours. Like it doesn’t look like colors this pasty white girl would wear at all.
Can the InkDot gift card be used for shipping? If so, you can get these photos for $19: http://inkdot.com/square-prints
I mentioned it in the post, but no, it does not include shipping.
I wish it did though!
Ah whoops must have missed that, sorry!
I think my biggest disappointment from this box was that the cookies on the booklet weren’t included 🙁
OMG LOL, we at my office were all thinking the same thing, I want those cookies on the booklet!
GREAT idea for the postcards!!!! In the best pic of us, my husband is holding a beer. Normally not a problem, until his southern baptist parents arrive for Cmas! I’m putting those postcards in a frame & gonna swaperoo the night before they arrive. Problem Solved! And I agree with Christine, I loved this box but where are those COOKIES?!?!?
I totally agree with being bummed about the cookies on the booklet not being included. I too thought the candle would be bigger from the spoilers.
I loved this box! I love Bingo!! I also love the size of the candle too, and that it turns into something else.
Definitely NOT excited about the Honey Mustard, ew. But – it’s creative (and something new)! Also love the eyeshadow! I have brown eyes so it definitely works for me! 🙂
Ooo! Love the idea of turning the headband in to a bracelet. I might do that as well! Thanks for the idea!
Not my favorite box, but worth the price for the things inside. Didn’t like the necklace so don’t really like the headband and what woman over the age of 50 wears a headband anyway? (no offense to any of you that do 🙂 I was iffy on the Bingo set until I realized it’s actually pretty cool and I need to find some hip friends to gift it to. Didn’t mind the candle though the wood lid is kinda cheesy (and mine doesn’t really fit).
Haven’t tried the honey mustard but I’m sure I’ll be able to use it as a marinade for meat, drop it in the crock-pot with some pork etc.
But I still think they tricked us with that cover of cookies/bars!
I liked this box but my jewel box, the item I was most looking forward to, arrived in tiny pieces. I emailed customer service. I hope I can get a replacement! My box takes forever to get to me so I hope they still have some. ugh. So disappointed!
