This week I am saying so what if…

~I really want it to snow this weekend.
~I am this close to putting up a Christmas tree in my house already.
~I am planning on saving some of the kids toys for their future children.  I know it will be cool down the road, but where am I going t store all those wooden trains for the next 20-30 years?
~I am not excited about our Elf on the Shelf (aka Fred) coming back for the season. The kid are though.
~I had the heat on and the windows open yesterday. I guess it wasn’t quite as warm out as I thought it was.
~I can’t wait to start shopping for my Secret Santa person!
~I am very nervous about the MUS-OSU game Saturday. Very nervous.
~I love reading articles about subscription boxes and how they operate.
~WB might not know all the nursery rhymes, but he can sing Wrecking Ball and Radioactive (his favorite song ever) with the best of them.

What are you saying so what to this week?

My mom saved my toys and my girls favorite toys are some of mine from childhood. They were in pristine condition. Cabbage patch, pound puppies, nerfuls, my little ponies. Its wonderful to see. I have been saving my kids things too for future use.
My son’s favorite song is Ender Dragons (Radioactive minecraft parody) as well.

Do you have a link to that subscription box article? I would love to read how they operate!

My mom saved some of our toys. My sister has two girls and a boy now. The girls are probably old enough to play with the toys but I expect they’ll look at a tub of old Strawberry Shortcakes that all smell the same from being mixed in together (if they still smell at all after 30 years) and are undoubtedly missing clothing items and/or the little pets that came with them and be like “what is that and why would we want anything to do with it?”

We didn’t save any of our toys, but we did save every single book we had as kids. As a result my son had an amazing library and now that he’s too old for most of them, we have packed them up (along with all the additions we have made) and are saving them for my brother’s future kids.

I am trying not to start with the christmas decoration already, but I must be strong, that is a tradition for Thanks Giving weekend and my kids are waiting for it 🙂
About the toys, my mom kept those I liked but when I grew up I decided to donate them, but my sister kept her favorite toy (minnie mouse), because she wanted to give it to her daughter some day, but almost 30 years later she just had boys, so she gave it to my girl, and the incredible thing is she already had a collection of minnie and mickey by herself, so I am sure that minnie will be something that could be passed to the next generation.
The favorite song of my girl is Animals from Maroon 5 hehehehe.

We have a 3 month old. We also just bought a house and are going through all of our things. He’s insisting on keeping a giant box of his old toys for our son. They are all from an old tv show called Mask. They have lots of little pieces so it’s things he won’t play with for a long. I find it annoying but this makes me feel like it’s actually sweet. 😉
