fabfitfun is a quarterly monthly subscription box that includes hand-selected items (the “hottest of the season”) in beauty, fashion, fitness and wellness from the fabfitfun team. fabfitfun is $49.99/quarter and beginning with their Summer 2014 box, they ship to Canada!
fabfitfun ships via FedEx Smart Post and took about a week to arrive to me. I believe they had a few different box colors they sent out this season (all of which were designed by artist Jocelyn Edin). I received this pretty mint colored one.
As usual, this season’s fabfitfun was packed full. We always seem to get full spoilers for this one in advance, so I knew what was coming in it.
fabfitfun sends a mini magazine along with each box. It lists the items in the box along with interviews and other articles. This month had an interview with Whitney Port and the new FabFitFun Beauty Advisor, Joey Maalouf, a list of 25 FFF favorite holiday songs, a feature on amazing travel destinations and also travel tips.
The magazine also included this…
And now on to the contents of the Winter 2015 fabfitfun box:
~Candlenut Body Creme by JUARA ($35): This cream is super thick and rich and made my hands, feet, elbows and knees instantly soft. The container itself, however, was a giant pain to open. I had a heck of a time getting the foil seal off the top. In fact, I never ended up getting it all off and just gave up.
~Wine Stopper and Charm Set by FabFitFun ($15): Complete cuteness! This set includes a silicone wine bottle stopper and six little silicone wine glass charms. I love these little guys. And the packaging this all came in was adorable too. I wanted to use my new stemless TODAY POPSUGAR box wine glasses tonight, but now I want to use these little guys on my stemmed glasses!
~Travel Set with Special Cleansing Gel, Multi-Active Toner and Skin Smoothing Cream by Dermalogica ($45): I think FabFitFun has included a Dermalogica product in the past haven’t they? They make good stuff and I am going to give this to one of my cousins in the next care next care package I send her because I know she will love it. I may end up ordering a second FFF box though because I do want a set like this for me too. It would be super nice for traveling!
~Fingerless Gloves by Whitney eve x FabFitFun ($28): I go back and forth about fingerless gloves. I get why they are handy (texting and, well, more texting), but they kind of defeat the purpose of gloves don’t they? I’ll wear them this winter I am sure, but not when I really really need to stay warm. What would have been great was if these would have included a mitten flap so you could wear these as mittens OR fingerless gloves! Now that’s handy.
~EJH Brand Diffuser ($37): VIP members (annual / long term subscribers) were able to choose their scent for this. You could select between Cinnamon, Pomegranate, Sugar Cookie or Lavender and I, of course, picked Sugar Cookie. It smells delightful and it’s almost like I have cookies baking in the house. Almost.
~Zoya Nail Polish (Dakota) ($9): I wouldn’t say this is overly exciting, but it’s totally useful. It’s a great shade for the holidays (Zoya describes it as a dramatic dark cherry creme with a very subtle hint of brown) and it will be on my nails beginning tomorrow. If you aren’t familiar with them, Zoya makes 5-free polishes in a ton of amazing shades.
~FRENDS The “Donna” Earbuds ($80): Subscribers were able to choose these in Black & Gold, Black & Rose Gold or White & Silver. I went with the Black & Rose Gold. For $80 earbuds I expected these to be a fancy box or include a cool carrying case or something. I need to be careful not to lose them before I even use them! I briefly tested them and thought the sound was good, but I’m not a headphone expert by any means and really just care if I can get them to stay in my ears comfortably. I thought these did, so it’s a win.
~Sweet and Spark Gift Card ($40): Sweet & Spark offers curated vintage jewelry. Shipping is free at Sweet and Spark and there are items priced under $40 so this really is a gift card and not a voucher. It NEVER expires either which is awesome. If you don’t see something you like now, totally hang on to it and check back later.
~Shoptiques Gift Card ($25): This is such a fancy gift card holder. And this is also a “real” gift card and can be used on items under $25 as well.
All totaled the Winter 2015 fabfitfun box had a value of $314! That’s remarkable considering the box itself was only $49.99! It didn’t seem like it had as many items as their boxes normally do (and didn’t have any sponsored items), but I am very very happy with this box. So much so that I am seriously considering snagging another one before they sell out! Oh, the box also included a coupon code for Hello Fresh (3 free meals which expire on 6.30.16), but it’s only for new customers which I am not.
I didn’t take a picture of the card with all the details, but fabfitfun paired up with the ASPCA for this box! They will be donating $1 (up to $90,000) for every “meow-ment” posted to Instagram with the hashtags #FFFAnimallove #FabFitFun and #ASPCA. You can check out all the details on that here.
What do you think of fabfitfun? What was your favorite item from this box? If you haven’t yet subscribed but want to get signed up (you’d receive this Winter box as your first one) you can use the coupon code “JINGLE” to save $10 off your first box or “SNOWY5” to get $5 off your first box plus a free fruit infused water bottle.
