GLOSSYBOX December 2015 Subscription Box

GLOSSYBOX kindly sent me their December 2015 box to review early and I am so excited to share it! GLOSSYBOX is a monthly beauty subscription box and includes five luxury surprise beauty items shipped to your door.   I have been a subscriber for years (in addition to getting review boxes I also pay for a subscription) and am always in awe at the value they pack into their boxes.

The Box

GLOSSYBOX ships via USPS and generally boxes ship in the second half of the month (as I mentioned I received this one early for review purposes).  Sometimes it’s the last week of the month, sometimes it’s closer to the beginning of the month.

I saw a sneak peek of this box on SnapChat (lots of boxes seem to be using SnapChat for sneak peeks lately), but I didn’t know what everything was.

The December 2015 GLOSSYBOX included the following items:

~GLOSSYBOX Eyeshadow in GLOSSYBOX Mauve (3g) ($11): This eyeshadow was made for GLOSSYBOX by Dobner Kosmetik.  It’s a very pretty grey’ish purple.  I believe that all subscribers will receive this shadow in this month’s box.

~MTJ Cosmetics High Definition Mascara (Full Size) ($21): This isn’t at all clumpy and is just a good solid mascara.  The wand is really neat (you can check it out here), but I did feel like it took me extra coats.  I may just need a little practice with it?  Anyway, I believe that all GLOSSYBOX boxes this month will also include this mascara.

~Simple Sugars All-Natural Body Scrub (Cranberry) (5oz) ($14): I received this in Cranberry, but the information card says that a variety of scents will be sent out.  It’s all-natural and is made with sensitive skin in mind.  This doesn’t seem (to me anyway), like something GLOSSYBOX normally sends out, but it was such a fun change of pace.  I can’t wait to see what other scents they are sending (I know from SnapChat that coconut is one).

~Color Club Nail Lacquer in Feverish ($8.50): Feverish, which I *think* is the only shade being sent out, is “a deep shade of red, with hints and burgundy, that will get your blood boiling”.  It’s stunning.  I am hoping to switch my polish over to this in the next few days. It’s an awesome winter shade.

~Gold Label Cosmetics Creme Lipstick in Private Jets ($14): Gold Label Cosmetics is a fairly new brand, which is made in the USA, Cruelty-Free, Paraben-Free and Gluten-Free. Private Jets is a highly pigmented pink.  I can’t say I am a fan of the shade, but that’s just me! According to the information card, there will be a variety of shades of the Gold Label Lipstick sent out. I found this blog which has swatches of them all so you can get an idea of what you *may* receive.

~Estee Lauder Consultation Coupon: The box also included a card that you can redeem for a complimentary beauty service at your local Estee Lauder Counter and take home a 10 day supply of your perfect foundation.

All totaled I came up with a value of $68.50 for the December 2015 GLOSSYBOX.  I loved the variety of brands they sent out and was quite pleased that I had never received (or even heard of) 4 of the 5 from this month’s box!  It also seemed like they sent out some new, smaller brands which I liked as well.

What do you think of this month’s GLOSSYBOX so far?  Just a reminder, GLOSSYBOX has been sending out variations in boxes the last few months so don’t be surprised if your box is a little different than this one.  I don’t know that it will be, but it might. If you want to snag this box, grab it soon because it’s probably going to sell out quite quickly.
