My long awaited POPSUGAR Must Have Holiday for Her Box arrived over the weekend.
If you aren’t familiar with them, POPSUGAR Must Have Box is an exciting box full of fun, must-have picks across fashion, beauty, home decor, fitness, and more, which is delivered to your door on a monthly basis. Boxes include full-size products and premium items including tried-and-true classics, celebrity favorites, and brands consumers have yet to discover worth over $100!
They also offer special edition boxes on a seasonal basis including Special Edition Holiday boxes for Him and Her. This review is on the 2015 Holiday for Her Special Edition Must Have Box which was described as a “chic and stylish treat”.
The POPSUGAR Holiday for Her Special Edition Must Have Box shipped via FedEx Smart Post out of California and took about a week to arrive.
All items in the Holiday for Her box arrived individually wrapped in tissue paper. As usual I had peeked at the spoilers so I knew what all was coming in the box. But having everything wrapped still makes it special to open.
The POPSUGAR Holiday for Her Special Edition Must Have Box included the following items:
~Elizabeth Cole Adelia Cuff ($167.50): This bracelet is tiny! Not as tiny as the Miansai Screw Cuff that was in the Spring Rachel Zoe box, but it’s small. It is slightly adjustable though, so don’t be afraid to try and open it up a bit. I do think it’s gorgeous and will be a great item for social occasions – if it fits your wrist.
~Et Al Designs Dot Candles ($24): I believe I had these candles a grand total of 5 minutes before I broke one. Oops! I was trying to fit them in the candle holders that were included in this box (we’ll get to those below) and realized I broke one. Well, I think I’m the one that broke them. I noticed some other people mention that theirs arrived broken? All I know is that after I tried to make it fit it in the candlestick holder, it was broke. I don’t burn taper candles too often (i.e. ever) because I kind of feel like they are a one and done thing (does anyone else think that?). I guess I’ll save these for one year when I do a silver and white mantel.
~Nima Oberoi Lunares Orb Candlestick Holders ($69): I totally expected that the taper candles we received above to fit in these candlestick holders. I mean if a box has taper candles, you’d thing they would fit in the included candlestick holders? Well, they don’t. At least not easily anyway! It takes some work. Or a knife to shave down the ends of the candles. I do love the style of these candlestick holders and while (as I mentioned previously) I don’t use tapers a ton, I actually could see myself using these somewhere in the house. I was surprised that the holders seemed to be a bit scuffed up right out of the box. They were packed very well but as you can see in the picture they look slightly roughed up. Not a huge deal, but I thought I should mention it.
~Prtty Peaushun Skin Tight Body Lotion (Plain) ($39): This is a totally new (to me) brand! This is available as a tinted lotion, but we received the “plain” shade which is described as a “color-free shade perfect for naturally tanned skin or darker tones”. My skin is pretty pale, but the lotion worked perfectly for me. It gives you a little shimmer that creates a flattering glow and helps to remove the appearance of stretch marks, veins and bruising. I also really like this packaging. It’s different and unexpected and this type of container lets you get every single drop because you can cut it open and scrape the sides if you want to ;).
~Estee Lauder Modern Muse Le Rouge Eau de Parfum ($14.99): This confuses me a little. The scent is nice – maybe a little too deep / rich for me, but nice, but the vial aspect throws me. If it was a sprayer or even a mini bottle (without a sprayer) I’d be okay with that. But a big vial? That’s just difficult to use. And hard to store. I would never carry this in my purse because I would be afraid the top would fall off and it would spill all over. I would have been thrilled had this been swapped out for a fancy snack or something.
~White + Warren Luxe Knotted Headband ($88): I love this! It’s 100% cashmere and is extremely soft and cozy. It’s not something I would buy for myself so it feels like such a luxury to get it in the box. I will get a ton of use out of it this winter too – just as soon as it actually gets cold here in Michigan!
~Butter LONDON Lip Service – Lippy Liquid Lipstick Collection ($29): This set includes Toff (Dark Rose Pink, Creme), Tea with the Queen (Pinkish Tan, Creme), Pudding (Rosy Pink, Creme) and Fruit Cake (Berry, Creme). The colors are shiny and high-pigmented and also pretty “tacky”. They smell great though and I am a fan of this little set.
All totaled the 2015 POPSUGAR Holiday for Her box had a value of $431.49. That is an insane value for a $100 box, but it just wasn’t my favorite limited edition box from them. I felt like I got my $100 worth but I wish they would have included a different “hero” item other than the bracelet which may or may not fit everyone’s wrists.
What did you think of the 2016 POPSUGAR Holiday for Her box? If you are interested in picking one up, it’s still available as are the Neiman Marcus Must Have Box and the TODAY Show POPSUGAR box! The December 2015 POPSUGAR box is also still available. Make sure to check out POPSUGAR’s Friends & Family sale if you are interested in a monthly subscription.
