Powered Geek Box (formerly known as PowerUp Box) is a monthly subscription service that includes geeky, gamer, and pop culture gear. The Powered Geek Box team goes around the country searching for the best gear there is to assure an epic box every month, every time. The Premium Box ($39.90/month) includes 6-9 items, while the Deluxe Box ($26.90/month) includes 4-6 items and both boxes will include a t-shirt every month.
Powered Geek Box boxes are shipped between the 22nd and 28th of each month.
The box doesn’t include an information card (nor does it have a stated theme), but the December 2015 Premium Powered Geek Box contained the following:
~Pokemon T-Shirt (~$10): Pokemon is one thing that L (my 7 year-old) has never gotten into. As a result, I don’t know any of the characters on here. Well, except for Pikachu. Everyone knows him!
~Pop! Star Wars #63 – Chewbacca ($9.97): Chewie is my favorite! I learned in the new Star Wars that he has the best gun of anyone on the Light Side ;). This is a great replica and a fabulous piece to keep displayed on your desk. I gave this to my brother (he’s a huge Star Wars fan) and he loved it.
~Puzzle Erasers ($9.95): These are perfect for L’s desk! I should have wrapped them up as a stocking stuffer, but I didn’t open this box up in time. These come apart and the goal is to try to put them back together perfectly. It’s not as easy as it sounds!
~Star Wars Key Ring ($6.99): This keyring features the Rebel Alliance die-cut logo and is made out of a fairly heavy metal. I am going to give this to L for his backpack. He (and basically every other kid at his school) like to load up their backacks with all the keychains and buttons and flair they can find.
~Chess & Checkers Magnetic Set (~$10): This is a tiny little set, but it does include everything you need for a game of checkers or chess. I think the board would work best if you had something magnetic to put it on, but it if you work with it to get it flat I would assume any flat surface would do.
~Super Heroes Vinyl Figure ($6.64): I am a complete sucker for blind boxes like this. I think I get just as excited by them as the kids do. We received Harley Quinn who I am not familiar with, but I always do like seeing a woman superhero- even if she’s a “bad guy”.
~Nightmare Before Christmas Flashlight ($6.46): My kids are obsessed with flashlights that shine logos like these and I’ll admit that I am too!
All totaled I came up with a value of about $60 for the December 2015 Powered Geek Box. I did estimate a few items though so the actual value may be slightly more or less. As usual with Powered Geek Box I loved the assortment and thought this was a fun box!
