The Information Card

The Vegan Cuts Snack Box theme was “Cornucopia of Snacks” and included the following products:

~Raw Revolution GloBar: I want to love these, I really do.  They are gluten-free, non-GMO and have 15g of protein per bar. I just can’t get past the texture though.  Very chewy.

~Bhakti Chai Tea: Bhakti Chai is a “craft-brew of fresh pressed organic ginger and fiery spices with Fair-Trade Certified black tea for a chai that energizes the spirit”.  I am not a tea person, but my cousin loves it so I will send this her way!

~MiMi’s Kitchen Coco Almond Oatmeal Bar: These bars are Vegan, Cholesterol free, Raw, Soy free and Non-GMO.  They are soft and chewy and I could really taste the cranberries and maple syrup.

~Rebel Kitchen Chocolate Organic Coconut Mylk Drink: I think this *might* be an acquired taste.  W (he’s 3) and tried it and I think he was expecting it to taste like “regular” chocolate milk, but it was much less rich.  It smells just like it though.  You have to shake this up SUPER good or else you are going to get coconut chunks in your milk.  They don’t taste bad (and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t like coconut), but I think we can all agree that chunky milk is not a good thing.

~Organic Living Superfoods Organic Raw Chocolate Coconut Chunks: Way better than expected.  Again I don”t like coconut, but I thought these were quite good. Apparently chocolate plus coconut is the combo I need.

~LiveSmart Raw Bar: Love this!  It looks like birdseed, (well, it does) but it’s really good. They are filling and the texture is perfect.  Crunchy, chewy and not too hard or too soft.

~Spiced & Infused Chipotle Taco Popcorn: Yes!  I like tacos and I like popcorn, so yep, I like this! It’s not too spicy and just has tons of great flavor!

~Zego Organic Energy Bar – Chocolate: These are very sweet and I thought that they had a bit of an aftertaste?  They are made without common allergens and are gluten-free and non-GMO.  If I had allergies I would probably go for this bar, but there are lots of other options out there that are better for me.

~PBThins Peanut Butter Crackers: I am obsessed with these.  I cannot for the life of me figure out why there aren’t more peanut butter crackers out there.  Why can’t I buy a big box of these somewhere?  Because I would.  I so would.

~SaladPower + Mango Drink: You know, this was exactly like I would imagine drinking a salad to be.  I am certain that it’s amazing for you (it contains 2.75 servings of vegetables, is non-GMO, calorie smart, has no added sugars , is loaded with vitamins, etc.), but I just cannot.  Maybe that’s why I could never get into juicing?  Not a fan.

I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this box, but it contained nine items which works out to just over $2 per item.  I think that’s a pretty good deal and it’s a nice way to try a bunch of different vegan items before you commit to buying giant packages of them!
