Yuzen is a quarterly subscription box that sends you a little Zen for every season. Each box includes high-quality natural and organic personal care products, healthy snacks, and lifestyle items carefully chosen from about 6 companies. Yuzen was previously a monthly subscription box but switched to quarterly a while back. They also offer one-time purchase gift boxes. This review is on the 2015 Limited Edition Holiday Gift Box.
Yuzen ships via USPS Priority Mail and took just two business days to arrive. Their service is prompt and I cannot recall ever hearing a complaint about shipping times or delivery issues with them. That says a lot!
As usual, I am impressed by the gorgeous packaging and care that Yuzen spends on the presentation of their boxes. Everything is always so beautifully packaged with gorgeous prints and colors.
The Yuzen Holiday Limited Edition Box included the following items:
~80 Acres of McEvoy Ranch – Lavender Hand & Body Wash (2oz / 56mL) ($4): In addition to smelling amazing, this hand & body wash is paraben, pathalate, sulfate and BPA-free.
~Aromatherapy Associates Inner Strength Bath & Shower Oil (9mL) (~$12): This oil is a “unique blend, with clary sage, frankincense and cardamom to help find your strength in challenging and difficult times.” You can use a cap full in the bathtub or smooth it over your body before showering. It smells amazing and the packaging? LOVE.
~ESLOR Soothing Refiner & Cleanser (0.5oz) ($7): This cleanser is lightweight and left my skin feeling great; It’s not drying at all and is also 100% Free of Parabens, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) and Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate (SLES).
~Good Day Chocolate Calm Chocolate Supplement ($3): Chocolate as a supplement? I can get behind that! It’s formulated to allow you to relax without causing drowsiness and also releases tension and anxiety. I don’t know the science behind this, but yeah, I felt calmer.
~ILA-SPA Body Lotion for Nurturing Skin (50mL) ($8): This lotion is lightweight and is suitable for all parts of your body. It’s made with only the purest natural oils and goes “beyond organic” with their ingredients. I am hopeful we’ll be seeing more from this brand in future Yuzen boxes.
~Jurlique Nutri-Define Superior Retexturising Facial Serum (15mL / .15fl.oz) ($60): I did the math on this one about 5 times before I believed it! Yes, this serum is $60 (the full-size is $120). It’s designed to fight “sagging, deep lines and wrinkles, loss of elasticity and dehydration by intensifying the anti-ageing power of plant actives.” I cannot wait to use this for a month or so (I am assuming this bottle will last that long) and see how my skin looks!
~Kerstin Florian Mineral Soak Wellness with Eucalyptus (85g / 3oz) ($7.50): I used this in a bath yet, but it smelled like being at a spa.
All totaled the Yuzen Limited Edition Holiday Box had a value of $101.50. That’s nearly 3x the cost of the box and I was impressed! I think this is a fabulous box and I would totally recommend it!
If you are interested in ordering or want to gift one to a friend, they are still available!
I ordered this a few days ago. I need more skincare items like I need an extra hole in my head, but they always come up with things I don’t see from any other boxes.
Wow this box looks amazing! And looks like a perfect gift for either my hard to buy for sister or just a nice gift for me! Decisions…decisions!! 🙂
