Dottiebox is a box curated every month for women. They feature high quality handmade items, small businesses, and indie brands. They offer their standard Dottiebox which is $26/month and a Dottiebox Mini subscription, which is $13/month. This review is for the full-sized Dottiebox and the Dottiebox Mini review will come later on in the month.
Dottiebox ships via USPS First Class Mail and takes just a few days to arrive to me. The full-size Dottiebox generally ships in the first half of the month with the Dottiebox Mini shipping in the later half of the month.
The first look was a good one!
The January 2016 Dottiebox included the following items:
~Lilian Eve Nail Polish (15mL) (Mere Mortals) ($12): Mere Mortals is a deep blue shimmering polish. It’s shimmery and I thought it went on smoothly and evenly. I also want to mention that Lilian Eve polishes are 5-free meaning they are free of formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, camphor, and dibutyl phthalate (DBP).
~Gracious Bee Greetings Easel Calendar ($11): I am so excited about this! We received a similar calendar from this company in last year’s Dottiebox and I was sad when it was time to toss it. I already have this set up in my office and I couldn’t be happier.
~Ting Lisa Polka Dot Scarf ($25): I received this in Navy / Gold, but I believe there were other colors sent out as well. It’s more of a warm weather scarf, but they sent a cold weather scarf last month so they gotta mix it up a bit!
~Flutterfly Scrubs Pink Grapefruit Scrub (2oz) ($9.25): I tried to guess this scent when I opened it up and was way off. Way off. I guessed it was an orange scent. Maybe because the scrub itself is orange? It smells good though and made my shower smell amazing! The information card values this as $15, but according to the Etsy store you can get two of these same sizes for $18.50, so I just took half of that price.
All totaled the January 2016 Dottiebox had a value of $55.25. I loved this month’s box and thought it had such great variations.
