MissionCute is a monthly subscription box full of cute stuff, but with a mission. Each MissionCute box comes with at least 2 items made by small-but-mighty artisans and local businesses. Every month they also partner with a different nonprofit to help promote their mission. 50% of the net proceeds of each box are donated to the chosen (you can vote on it) monthly nonprofit (this month’s partner is Urban Light) and MissionCute also sponsors and works on a service project each month in their community.

I just love MissionCute and love seeing what they select for their boxes each month. This one looked good from the start!
The January 2016 MissionCute partner was “Urban Light“, a non profit organization dedicated to empowering boys who are victims of trafficking and exploitation. The box included the following items:
~Zaaina Vanilla Honey Lip Balm ($6): Love this stuff! It smells amazing and I found it to be very moisturizing. All of Zaaina’s products are handmade out of natural ingredients too.
~Daily Thought Notepad by Eccolo World Traveler ($14.99): I have a total addiction to sticky notes, journals, notepads, etc. so I love this. It’s a notepad with 365 pages so you can use it daily to jot down your thoughts. Each page has a different inspirational quote as well.
~Mission Cute Exclusive Print ($9): I love that MissionCute includes prints in their boxes. They don’t do it every month, but I’d say you’ll find a print in about 80% of their boxes. I will pop this in the frame in my office I use to swap out this prints (which are 5×7).
~Karam Foundation Scents of Syria Soap ($10): Karam Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to help people help themselves. Their Scents of Syria soaps give back to the artisan community in Aleppo & Damascus who made them and also give the user the rare pleasure of experiencing an authentic scent of Syria. This one is “Laurel” which I guess is a berry of some sort? It can be used on your face, body or even as a shampoo bar.
~Mission Cute Mulberry Gloves ($15): When I pulled these out of the package I thought they were arm warmers. LOL! They are actually fingerless gloves. I have been using fingerless gloves in my office at home (it’s cold) and already have these on my desk!
All totaled I came up with a value of $54.99 for the January 2016 MissionCute. I love this box. It’s cute and fun and I love that they back so many different missions!
What do you think of MissionCute? If you are interested in subscribing or just want to check out more about them / look at previous boxes, click here. They also offer a Mini MissionCute box for $20/month which consists of 2-3 hand-curated items. This may be a good option if you aren’t ready to try the full box. AND they currently have $24.99 Mystery Boxes which include products featured in past MissionCute boxes (and some new items!) with a value of $40+.
I’m pretty sure laurel is bay leaf! It’s the same plant they used to make crowns out of for Roman emperors (hence the saying “rest on your laurels”).
I have been getting the Mission Cute mini and have been happy with it. In the mini I received the lip balm, the fingerless gloves and a print as well. Great deal for the $20
That’s a great box for $20!! Did you get the same color gloves? I love them!
Yep same color. We just moved this past summer from CT to SC so they will come in handy on our chilly mornings.
