Yay! My January 2016 POPSUGAR Must Have Box has arrived! I have subscribed to POPSUGAR since they started and I have always loved them.
If you aren’t familiar with them, POPSUGAR Must Have Box is an exciting box full of fun, must-have picks across fashion, beauty, home decor, fitness, and more, which is delivered to your door on a monthly basis. Boxes include full-size products and premium items including tried-and-true classics, celebrity favorites, and brands consumers have yet to discover worth over $100!
POPSUGAR Must Have Box generally ships via FedEx Smart Post and takes about a week to arrive. This month’s box shipped a little later than normal, but I believe the February box is going to get shipped earlier so that we receive it by Valentine’s Day.
I always always peek at POPSUGAR spoilers, but that never makes me any less excited for the box. I say it all the time, but POPSUGAR really is my favorite box.
The January 2016 POPSUGAR Must Have Box was inspired by “New Year”, “Renewal”, “Organization” and “Detox” and included the following items:
~Pehr Designs Pebble Sack Bin ($40): I would never purchase a $40 storage bin on my own (would I?), but getting one in here is awesome. It’s way bigger than I expected (it’s 13″D x 12″H) and very sturdy. This will either end up in my office or in one of the kid’s room. I also love the pattern on this and I may actually try and trade for another.
~Not Soap, Radio Bath and Shower Gel Gift Set ($22): Not Soap, Radio has appeared in a few Birchbox boxes that I have received and they smell amazing. This set included Coconut Milk Mango + Vanilla, Lemon + Sugar, Lavender + Clementine, Beach + Sky Blue Water and Green & White Tea + Clover. The lemon is my favorite, but I haven’t found a scent of theirs I don’t like. These will be great for traveling and would also pack nicely in a gym bag.
~Patchology FlashMasque Trio ($20): Patchology is a totally new brand for me. These sheet masks work in just 5 minutes (as opposed to the 20 minutes traditional sheet masks can take). The trio includes Exfoliate (removes dead skin cells for more even tone and texture), Hydrate (delivers a mega-dose of moisture for soft, silky skin) and Illuminate (provides fresh-faced radiance to lackluster skin). I quickly tested out Exfoliate and was thrilled with how smooth and soft it left my skin. You don’t have to wash it off either – the masque serum absorbs right into your skin.
~Blue Sky Day Designer Weekly Planner ($16.99): I LOVE planners so yeah I love this. It would have been better served in the December box in my opinion because yeah, if you need a planner you probably aren’t waiting till mid-January to get one, but I will use this for meal planning or something along those lines. My SIL (who also gets POPSUGAR and loves planners too), actually texted me a few days ago and asked me to look at my Target for a Blue Sky Day Designer planner for her. I was cracking up because the one she was looking for looked just.like.this. She never looks at POPSUGAR spoilers so she had no idea one was included in this box!
~Spark Joy: An Illustrated Master Class to the Art of Decluttering and Organizing by Marie Kondo ($11.58): If anyone needs this book it’s me. I admit it, I like stuff, but I also like to be organized. Which doesn’t always work with “stuff”. This is going to be the year of decluttering though and hopefully this book will help.
~Project 7 Summer Snow Sugar Free Gum ($1.99): I don’t like gum, but I am always intrigued when I see this brand at Target. They have so many fun flavors. And I do love their packaging. All of Project 7’s products are made in the USA and they partner with a variety of non-profits that make life changing impacts in America and around the globe.
~(Special Extra) Chapstick Total Hydration 100% Natural Soothing Vanilla ($2.99): This Chapstick is labeled a “special extra” on the card meaning it doesn’t replace a product that would have been included in the box otherwise. It’s strictly an extra. It may not be the fanciest lip balm around, but I am always thrilled with chapstick!
All totaled I came up with a value of $115.55 for the January 2016 POPSUGAR Must Have Box. I absolutely loved this box and felt like it was very “me”! With the exception of the gum I will personally use everything in here and couldn’t be happier.
