Today I’m Smiling Because…
~The boys had a ball up-north with my parents! They have a bunch of snow up there (not as much as these pictures make it look like though) and L was in his element. W likes the snow okay, but I think he’d like it better if it wasn’t so cold ;).
~We got ALL of the errands we were planning on doing over break taken care of! The laundry is done, donations have been dropped off, closets are cleaned, we got L’s passport renewed and we had a bunch of fun too.
~B’s off to Germany today! I guess it’s not something to totally smile about because the kids and I aren’t going, but it’s B’s favorite work destination so he’s excited about it. Enjoy that German food and German beer baby.
~My favorite Target went to 70% off Christmas clearance items on NYE and I picked up some great stuff. Target is being SO slow with their markdowns this year so I feel lucky one close to me had been discounted so early. Hopefully the rest are 70% off today because I need to hunt down some more icicle lights for my cousin.
~Since the kids were up-north, B and I got to have a great day date in the city. We had lunch, browsed around this cool antiques mall and checked out a few other shops in the Cass Corridor including Third Man Records which is Jack White’s label. We’d never been in it before and it was just really cool. It was just an overall great day with B!

Our Target still has candy and stocking stuffers marked at 30%!! Everything else is at 50%.
Our Target was so picked over it was ridiculous, they were already putting out Valentine candy… THAT BAD! Howevee, I did get a big, gold cardboard star with a light for next year so that was cool!
When do you think the early stores will go to 90? I’m thinking Monday. I always love to see your hidden clearance finds. My big finds this year are a marble cheese board for $5.99 (down from 19.99) and a big red lacquer tray for $4.49 (70% off).
Target slower with mark downs more ea year..becuz of people like us…lol…pretty late last year too..see old posts …didn’t see 70 till NY day and some not till now!!! Lots left I’m thinking wed for 90…tons of candy!
What Lego is that Ninango? I found the girls Lego friends set but every boy set I scanned was full price. They had a Ninago set on clearance for $1.98 (tagged) but that was it. Do you have the DCPI? Did you really only get one or a ton for class gifts?
I think it was $1.98 actually? But they are usually like $4 aren’t they? I try to hold off on getting multiples until it’s 90% off if I can! I need to make sure I can get like 15 of each!
