Well, it’s that time. 90% off Target Christmas Clearance is here! Some of the stores around me are still at 70%, but a few are 90% so I went out today and checked it out. Here is what I scored (you can check out my 70% off finds here):
My favorite finds were the Gold Bar Cart (065-15-0969) $12.99, the wood tray (065-15-3087) $2.49, Threshold Bowl Set (200-09-0735) $1.99 and Threshold serving platter (200-09-0741) $1.49. If you want to know if your store has these or if you want to look up anything else you have the DPCI (those are the numbers I posted), go here and type in the DPCI and you zip code.
A few notes:
~I found a ton of Tonka trucks (087-07-0820) ($0.39) in the “regular” toy / car aisle which I will be saving for goodie bags next year for W’s class.
~Mrs. Meyer’s candles and cleaning products in “Limited Edition Seasonal Scents” are ringing up 90% off. They have a band across the top that says “”Limited Edition Seasonal Scent” and they have snowflakes on the package. Check by the regular Mrs. Meyers items for these in the cleaning supplies aisles.
~More good ways to find things on clearance are using the #targetclearance hashtag on Instagram.
~Look for items with Rose Gold / Copper / Marble. For example this lamp is part of the clearance, as is this tray.
More Information:
How do you know what’s on sale?
As you know, the 50% / 70% / 90% off items are NOT marked with Target’s typical orange clearance tags. As a result, it makes it more of a challenge than your normal clearance shopping. I recommend going to Target while things are still where they should be and check it out. Most items that are included in the holiday clearance start out in the normal seasonal area. I try to fit up these areas before the clearance starts so I know what I am looking for. If you are really bored, go here and flip through every page. It will show you every single item that is part of the Christmas clearance. EVERYTHING. There are zillions of items.
Where should I look in the store for the deals after the holidays?
Most people just head to the seasonal area and look and see what’s by the signs and then wonder why they only find bows and gift bags for 90% off when other people find bar carts and pillows and trays and marble lamps. You gotta look in the regular aisles. If you know Hot Wheels are part of the clearance, check the Hot Wheels area of the store. Want cupcake cake pans, spatulas, etc? Look in the baking area. Pillows? Check the pillow aisle. Look on all the end caps. Things get mixed up very quickly. The good stuff is not going to sit in the normal seasonal area when it’s marked 90% off for very long.
Can I get a price adjustment?
No. You can only get price adjustments on sale items, not clearance. The best you can do is return and rebuy. I will sometimes buy something at 50% off and then see it at 90% off. So I buy it again and return it with my 50% off receipt. Most stores won’t let you return and rebuy in the same transaction. You have to wait for the item to be placed back on the floor, which sometimes takes a while (like longer than you’d want to wait).
How do I know if my store is 90% off?
Check Fyndly! Go here and type in “253-01-0917”. If the price shows $0.33, it’s 90% off at your store. It is shows $0.99, your store is still 70% off. Prices *should* update late tonight / early tomorrow, so if it’s not 90% yet, check again in the morning.
Have you been out Target clearance shopping? What’d you score?
Ugh my stores are showing 70% I really hope they go to 90% tomorrow. I’m hoping that I can swing by in the morning and get a couple things. Any idea when they will be removing stuff from the store? I’m hoping we at least get a day or so of 90%
It’s usually at least 2 days. At least!
I miss the days when you used to post your entire haul. I love seeing how much people can actually find!
I only got multiples of the cars. I would have gotten a bunch of EOS, but I couldn’t find any more clearance ones. I could only find the regular price ones. Did you get anything?
Wow!! You scored some insanely great deals!!
Looks like some great deals. Too bad my closest Target is 2 hours away 🙁
Oh your 9′ tree… at 90% off! I could only dream! I tried both Target and Walmart and they have none left, it’s insane. When you live in the Houston area (with literally millions of other people) I guess that’s what happens! Oh well… I got my cart!
EXTREMELY jealous of your bar cart! I’m trying to hunt one down as we speak.
I don’t understand how some people are able to score stuff…I swear the 28th was the first chance I got to go to Target and EVERYTHING was gone. I was just looking to get some of the Christmas candy on clearance, I know last year I bought several bags of Lindt truffles and some of the Russel Stover collections at 50% off. My big score this year was some brownie brittle. There wasn’t even any pretty wrapping paper left.
I don’t know if you all live in bigger cities where the store is more stocked in the first place, or if the people where you live understand things get cheaper if they wait longer. I was shocked how empty the place was.
I live in Metro Detroit. I don’t know if our Targets are well stocked, but we have a ton of them around here. I think there are 10 within 10 miles????
I tried that website where you put in the DPCI and it doesn’t work very well for my stores at least. I went to two Targets in my area that said there were many bar carts in stock, and both didn’t have it, after asking two different sales people. But I scored a bunch of other stuff that I thought the Canadians would have scooped up already. (I live on the border of Canada in Buffalo.) I got my dog Christmas pajamas for 99 cents. The signs said 70% off, but the prices were 90% off. Thanks for the heads up!
Yeah there are a couple of stores near me that say they have it but they don’t. They could have been damaged and pulled from stock and just not updated yet.
After reading your post this morning I thought I would go check my target ( central Houston) for some deals. Alas, all I got was some wrapping paper and a few bags of candy. Looks like everyone here was already hip to the sale!:(
Ughh Bloomfield was pretty much out of everything but had some 70% garbage left. I saw a few eos 3 packs almost bought some but I just bought a big pack from Cosco last week. Auburn Hills are still at 70% off and there’s not anything left either I loved that target in Detroit or almost Detroit last year but DH won’t let me go there as there was just a shooting there last week?
Thanks for sharing all of your secrets! You’ve inspired me to head out and try and find some deals.
So I drove from Brooklyn to Jersey City (which is only 5 miles, but takes at least 30 minutes) because it said they had 7 bar carts. None on display, girl checked her scanner thing, which said they were there, but no location. “checked the back.” Sorry, out of luck. She says it takes 3 days for the system to update, which seems a little insane. Meanwhile, there were shopping carts EVERYWHERE full of merchandise they were taking off the shelves.
I don’t know about other places in the country, but here, Target stuff ends up at Goodwill. I guess it’s a much better business decision for them to pull merchandise and donate it at full value and right it off, than to sell it to me for 90% off. I don’t even know where I would have put the cart. I’d like to be more upset with Target, but you know I totally just bought the Popsugar box…..
I managed to get a bar cart at Dearborn today for $13 though the inventory checked didn’t have one listed I think. I also got that copper/marble lamp, 2 of those end tables on IG for $7 and one of the copper round tables for $7. Tons of other random stuff like $1 spot items for 10 cents and throw pillows for $2.
I am always so jealous of your Target clearance hauls! 🙂 Love that bar cart!
I will just continue to live vicariously through you because where I live, despite there being like 11 Targets within 10 miles of my house, there usually isn’t much of anything left even on the 26th and then it pretty much all sells out by the time it hits 30% off.
I live in a major tourist location, though, and we get a ton of folks who come here internationally just to shop over the holidays (Christmas, but especially Easter), so maybe that’s why everything goes so fast.
I was able to snag a bar cart thanks to you! It was kind of a pain, tried one target that said they had 7 (they had none) but they told me to check another, which led to another, which led to one check in the back. I got one in the box from the back, so stoked! It’s now holding my record player and vinyls.
Thank you for this post!!! Guess where I am going (again) today!!
Wow! So jealous of your haul! Our target still has candy at 50% and Christmas is now 70%. Our doubt it will go 90%…they will donate it to our local Goodwill.
Thank you Jennifer! I’ve never known about this 90% target post Christmas sale before! I scored some awesome deals on items I had passed on before Christmas because it wasn’t in my budget. Thank you for linking to the DSP search site too – it’s a game changer 🙂
