Well, it’s that time. 90% off Target Christmas Clearance is here! Some of the stores around me are still at 70%, but a few are 90% so I went out today and checked it out. Here is what I scored (you can check out my 70% off finds here):
My favorite finds were the Gold Bar Cart (065-15-0969) $12.99, the wood tray (065-15-3087) $2.49, Threshold Bowl Set (200-09-0735) $1.99 and Threshold serving platter (200-09-0741) $1.49. If you want to know if your store has these or if you want to look up anything else you have the DPCI (those are the numbers I posted), go here and type in the DPCI and you zip code.
A few notes:
~I found a ton of Tonka trucks (087-07-0820) ($0.39) in the “regular” toy / car aisle which I will be saving for goodie bags next year for W’s class.
~Mrs. Meyer’s candles and cleaning products in “Limited Edition Seasonal Scents” are ringing up 90% off. They have a band across the top that says “”Limited Edition Seasonal Scent” and they have snowflakes on the package. Check by the regular Mrs. Meyers items for these in the cleaning supplies aisles.
~More good ways to find things on clearance are using the #targetclearance hashtag on Instagram.
~Look for items with Rose Gold / Copper / Marble. For example this lamp is part of the clearance, as is this tray.
More Information:
How do you know what’s on sale?
As you know, the 50% / 70% / 90% off items are NOT marked with Target’s typical orange clearance tags. As a result, it makes it more of a challenge than your normal clearance shopping. I recommend going to Target while things are still where they should be and check it out. Most items that are included in the holiday clearance start out in the normal seasonal area. I try to fit up these areas before the clearance starts so I know what I am looking for. If you are really bored, go here and flip through every page. It will show you every single item that is part of the Christmas clearance. EVERYTHING. There are zillions of items.
Where should I look in the store for the deals after the holidays?
Most people just head to the seasonal area and look and see what’s by the signs and then wonder why they only find bows and gift bags for 90% off when other people find bar carts and pillows and trays and marble lamps. You gotta look in the regular aisles. If you know Hot Wheels are part of the clearance, check the Hot Wheels area of the store. Want cupcake cake pans, spatulas, etc? Look in the baking area. Pillows? Check the pillow aisle. Look on all the end caps. Things get mixed up very quickly. The good stuff is not going to sit in the normal seasonal area when it’s marked 90% off for very long.
Can I get a price adjustment?
No. You can only get price adjustments on sale items, not clearance. The best you can do is return and rebuy. I will sometimes buy something at 50% off and then see it at 90% off. So I buy it again and return it with my 50% off receipt. Most stores won’t let you return and rebuy in the same transaction. You have to wait for the item to be placed back on the floor, which sometimes takes a while (like longer than you’d want to wait).
How do I know if my store is 90% off?
Check Fyndly! Go here and type in “253-01-0917”. If the price shows $0.33, it’s 90% off at your store. It is shows $0.99, your store is still 70% off. Prices *should* update late tonight / early tomorrow, so if it’s not 90% yet, check again in the morning.
