Our mail came super late tonight, but the boys and I wanted some snacks so we opened it up right away.

The Information Card

The January 2016 Treatsie theme was “Hello New Year” and included the following items:

~Dave’s Sweet Tooth Milk Chocolate Toffee (4oz): As far as toffee goes, this stuff is good.  It’s not the snack I’d grab first if there were other options, but it did satisfy my sweet tooth.

~Mayana Chocolate Kitchen Sink Bar: This bar pretty much has everything but the kitchen sink in it.  It’s a combination of peanut butter, pretzel, crisp rice, milk chocolate, fleur de sel caramel and Mayana’s signature 66% dark chocolate.  As you can imagine, it is amazing. This bar was our favorite snack in the box this month.

~Zingerman’s Candy Chocolate-Covered Peanut Brittle: Had this been just regular peanut brittle I don’t know that we would have enjoyed it as much.  The chocolate covering made this!  It’s hand pulled for “maximum brittleness” in Ann Arbor, MI.  They also have a fabulous deli (they call it a Bakehouse) that I highly recommend trying if you are ever in Ann Arbor.

~Annie B’s Caramels: We received these caramels in Original and Black Raspberry.  I tried the original and it was so creamy and buttery.  Just perfect!

I never do a cost breakdown on Treatsie because I really don’t consider them to be a “value” subscription.  It’s just a fun way to try a variety of snacks without committing to a giant size package.

If you are interested in subscribing to Treatsie you can use the coupon code “HOF028VDE3” to save $10 off your first month, making it just $9.95!

I just ate the kitchen sink bar. Oh. My. Gosh. I mean seriously! I think it would feed four easily. I have their website bookmarked now. This month was a total win for me. I actually thought the chocolate on the brittle was too much; I wanted to taste the brittle by itself, but it was still good. All i have left is the toffee, and I love toffee, so I am optimistic about it. This month was exactly the kind of box for me!
