The February 2016 BarkBox theme was “Happy Lunar New Year”. The information card included “prosperous furcasts” for your dogs which cracked me up. Buddy’s (“Pig”) says “Storms are in your future; just shake off inside where humans keep the electronics” and Baxter’s (“Dog”) says “Take control of your life this year and take your human for walks”. The box included the following items:
~Stretchy the Serpentine by Bark & Co. ($14): My 7-year-old thought this was a bull and I wasn’t sure what it was. Turns out it is a serpentine. It’s got a squeaker inside, but my dogs haven’t figured out how to make it squeak just yet. It’s designed for heavy chewers (which my dogs are so not) and is super durable. Like I even have trouble making it squeak. This is going to last my dogs forever!
~Andi’s Famous Dumplings by Bark & Co. ($16): BarkBox has sent out some cute toys over the years, but this wins for cutest dog toy ever. I thought the takeout container was adorable, but when I opened it up and saw the three little dumpling toys inside? OMG! They are designed for smaller dogs (like mine) who won’t eat them (they will not) and they have a squeaker inside as well.
~The Lazy Dog Chow Chow Mein Healthy Treats for Dogs ($9): Again, another adorable BarkBox item. My dogs were more interested in the treats, but I love the box. The treats are made & sourced in the USA and are wheat, corn and soy free.
~Plato Pet Treats Small Bites Made with Duck ($6.99): These were a huge hit with the dogs! They are free of grain, gluten, soy, wheat, corn, and fillers and USA Made. These treats are chewy and bite-sized which is exactly what my dogs love.
~Crunchy Duck Chews ($1.99): Crunchy Duck Chews are a unique mixture of rawhide and duck meat formed into a tasty, chewable treat. My dogs haven’t sampled this yet, but there is certain to be a big fight when they do. There always is ;).
