Fan Essentials February 2016 Subscription Box Review Fan Essentials is a monthly subscription box service for the most unique fan experience you will find! The Rookie ($21.99/month) includes 2-3 locally sourced custom items and licensed merchandise. The Veteran ($34.99/month) comes with 5-6 items that include a variety of locally sourced custom items, licensed merchandise, and in some markets, occasional tickets and / or fan experiences. Currently they feature items from the Grizzlies, the Rockets, the Pelicans, the Thunder, the Spurs, and the Warriors, but are working on adding additional teams soon. I received “The Veteran” box to review.
Fan Essentials February 2016 Subscription Box ReviewFan Essentials ships via USPS.  This box is labeled “Rookie” but it is actually a “Veteran” box.  The card inside indicated that they ran out of Veteran boxes and are ordering more.
Fan Essentials February 2016 Subscription Box Review Fan Essentials February 2016 Subscription Box ReviewThe February 2016 “The Veteran” Fan Essentials box included the following:

~Oklahoma City Thunder Scarf ($18.99): I am not an OKC Thunder fan (or much of an NBA fan overall), but I do love this scarf. It’s fantastic! I love the colors and the argyle pattern.  Just awesome!

~New Orleans Pelicans Fan Towel (~$7): I couldn’t find a price for this online so I am going to estimate it at about $7.  It will make for a nice gym towel and it looks like it will withstand many trips through the laundry.

~Memphis Grizzlies Auto Emblem ($7.99): This emblem attaches to your vehicle with adhesive tape (which is specially designed for autos).  You can also use it on the fridge or any other hard surface you can think of.

~New Orleans Pelicans Lanyard ($8.99): The final item in the box was a Pelicans lanyard.  It’s sturdy and has a detachable clip so you can keep your car or hotel keys on it and can easily clip it on and off without having to take it off.
Fan Essentials February 2016 Subscription Box ReviewAll totaled I came up with a value of $42.97 for the February 2016 Fan Essentials box.  I was impressed with the value of the box, but I wish they would allow you to customize by team.  Or at least by group of teams.  I believe they are working on expanding, so maybe down the road you will be able to select your favorite NBA, NHL, NFL, MLB and college teams and they will customize a box based on your preferences.  That would be ideal!

Yeah I’m having major towel envy over here, but I’d hate to wind up with anything for other teams, so this box is still a no.

Send me your address! I will send you the towel!

Interesting idea. I would actually love this box if you could pick your team or at least a region maybe. It would make a great gift! But as is, with just getting random team stuff, I don’t really like it. What if you get all stuff from your rival team?! The horror!

Wow, it looks like it COULD be a great box but if you can’t specify team then what good is it? I can’t imagine ordering for my husband and getting the box you got, all the teams he has no interest in. The items seem like good quality but worthless to someone that doesn’t root for that team. I’ll be watching and hope they customize in the future.
