GLOSSYBOX kindly sent me their February 2016 box to review early, and I am so excited to share it! GLOSSYBOX is a monthly beauty subscription box and includes five luxury surprise beauty items shipped to your door. I have been a subscriber for years (in addition to getting review boxes I also pay for a subscription) and am always in awe of the value they pack into their boxes.
GLOSSYBOX ships via USPS and generally boxes ship in the second half of the month (as I mentioned I received this one early for review purposes). Sometimes it’s the last week of the month; sometimes it’s closer to the beginning of the month.
I knew that the February 2016 GLOSSYBOX box would be this Love is in the Air design, but it’s even better in person. The artwork is gorgeous!
I went into this box spoiler-free (although I know there were a few spoilers floating around out there) and I really liked the first look! My box didn’t have an information card (maybe because it was an early review box), but the February 2016 GLOSSYBOX contained the following:
~GLAMGLOW Thirstycleanse Daily Hydrating Cleanser (Mud to Foam) (1oz / 30g) ($7.30): I love GlamGlow and thanks to subscription boxes I rarely have to purchase any of my own! Unlike their masks which are gritty, this is smooth and almost has the consistency of pudding. It turns to foam when you get it wet and left my skin feeling fantastic!
~Benefit the POREfessional Face Primer (3mL / 0.1fl.oz) ($4.23): This primer / balm helps to minimize the look of pores. It’s very smooth and has a slight tint to it so if you really wanted to; you could wear it alone (it’s mostly worn under makeup, though). It works fabulous and is a favorite of mine.
~etre belle Golden Skin Roll-On Caviar Eye Gel (10mL / .34fl.oz) (~$22): This gel delivers “hydration and relaxes and soothes swollen eyelids, making the area around the eyes look visibly firmer and refreshed with the radiance of youth”. I tested it out immediately and no joke, I felt like (and looked like) I got an extra hour of sleep. The puffiness was gone! I am basically obsessed with this and am thrilled to see it doesn’t cost a million dollars!
~BioRepublic Aloe Rescue Revitalizing Sheet Mask ($4.99): I actually just received a different BioRepublic Mask in a recent Birchbox. This one is the “Aloe Rescue” which soothes dry skin and is ideal for after sun use. I am going to save mine for after our Spring Break trip! I want to mention that these masks are 100% cruelty-free and contain no Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates, and Triclosan.
~Teeez Oasis Gem Lipstick (Heat Wave Ruby) (~$20): I can’t locate this on the US Teeez website, but I see a lot of German results for it, so perhaps it’s only available overseas? I was surprised how sheer this went on. I thought it’d be much darker, but I am thrilled it’s not. Topped with some gloss, this is going to be perfect for me.
All totaled I came up with a value of $58.52 for the February 2016 GLOSSYBOX. That’s actually on the low end for GLOSSYBOX, but I enjoyed this box and will use every single thing in it.
What do you think of this month’s GLOSSYBOX so far? Just a reminder, GLOSSYBOX has been sending out variations in boxes the last few months so don’t be surprised if your box is a little different than this one (although I do believe all boxes will contain the POREfessional and GlamGlow). I don’t know that it will be different, but it might. If you are interested in ordering use coupon code “PERFUME” to get a free Sabe Masson Le Soft Perfume ($25 value) with any new subscription purchase!
Thank you for the review – this box looks great and I can’t wait to receive it later this week.
