Julep February 2016 Subscription Box Review + Coupon CodesJulep is a monthly nail polish (and beauty) subscription service.  They offer a “My Maven” box for $24.99/month which contains $40+ worth of product and polish or “Maven Luxe” for $39.99/month which contains $60+ of prestige products.  Both boxes are fully customizable and you have the option to switch between tiers.  Subscribers prior to 4/29/14 were grandfathered in at the $19.99/month rate, however, they will need to upgrade to the $24.99 subscription if they want to customize their boxes.  I finally decided to upgrade to the $24.99 subscription so I am now able to customize my box.
Julep ships via FedEx Smart Post out of Ohio and tends to take just a few days to arrive to me. You can expect to receive your box in the first few days of the month.

I am such a sucker for a freebie and always get three add-ons so I can get the free item you get when you get 3+ items.  I have a friend who is obsessed with Julep products so even if I get a duplicate polish color (which I typically do), it never goes to waste.

The February 2016 Julep theme was “Modern Smolder” and included the following items:

~Rosie (It Girl) ($11.20 / $14): Roise is a charcoal grey with magenta glitter.  It’s absolutely gorgeous and I thought it would be a fun twist on the normal Valentine’s Day reds and pinks.

~Hayley (Boho Glam) ($11.20 / $14): Hayley is a Beetroot crème.  Hayley is almost the same color as Rosie to tell you the truth.  Except it doesn’t have glitter.  I thought it would be nice under Rosie and hopefully it will make it a little easier to get the glitter polish off.

~Eyeshadow 101 – Cocoa ($14.40 / $18): I debated on getting one of Julep’s new shadow sticks and I am so glad I did.  This is fabulous!  It’s smooth and shiny and has a smudger on the end so you can blend easily.  I will be picking this up in other shades for sure.

~Add-Ons: For my add-ons this month I selected Aquarius (one of their new Zodiac polishes), Luxe Lip Conditioning Treatment (love this stuff) and the Julep Clean Up tool. I received “Sienna” as my free gift for buying 3 add-ons and received “Hartleigh” as a bonus gift as well. Hartleigh was Julep’s gift to subscribers this month. Subscribers received e-mails about it and if you wanted to receive it, you just had to claim it through the e-mail.
All totaled I came up with a value of $36.80 ($44 using non-Maven prices) for my February 2016 Julep box.  I wasn’t a fan of the entire polish collection this month, but I like the shades I picked and the shadows are awesome!
