Mommy Mailbox Review – February 2016

Mommy Mailbox subscription boxes are carefully curated to make all mom’s lives better, easier and sweeter. Boxes contain products which typically retail for between $55-$75, and each box contains 4-6 surprise gifts that change each month.
Mommy Mailbox ships via USPS during the first week of the month (or the last few days of the previous month).

The February 2016 Mommy Mailbox theme was “Cherish” and was curated by Katya and Amri of Hey Mama Co. The box included the following items:

~Plaid Scarf by Greenish: I have a very similar scarf from Zara except it’s GIANT.  Like a blanket sized. I love it, but this will be better for everyday use.  It’s an infinity scarf and loops around twice.  It is soft and super cozy but be warned, it does leave fuzzies, so maybe don’t wear this with a dark colored sweater or coat right away.

~Triangle Necklace by Olive + Piper: Love this!  It’s a delicate gold necklace that would work well alone or layered with another piece.

~Valentine Card by Neon Rae ($5): I have been getting so many adorable Valentine’s Day cards in boxes lately.  I am going to have to save some of these for every day, just because cards. This card was designed by Jilian Atun, owner of the LA children’s boutique Neon Rae and was printed on post consumer materials in Brooklyn, New York.

~Lip Gloss by Sappho ($22): This looked a little dry in the package, but luckily that was not the case when I opened it up. I can’t find it for sale on the Sappho website though?  In fact, they don’t currently appear to offer any lip products so perhaps they aren’t making this anymore?  Still, I liked it and thought it was shimmery with just the right amount of color. It’s also vegan and paraben-free.

~Chocolate Bar by La Luna Salt Co. ($4): How gorgeous is this chocolate?  It’s a mix of Madagascar Vanilla Bean, Sea Salt & Chocolate and tasted just as good as it looks.  The bars are hand-painted, hand-crafted, hand-mixed and hand-packaged as well.

I couldn’t find prices for a few of the items online, so I was unable to do a cost breakdown on this box.  I was quite pleased with it though, and I know I say this every month, but Mommy Mailbox is not just for moms!  Not at all!  Seriously, don’t let the name scare you away.
