Grill Masters Club delivers a box of grilling goodness to your every month. Each monthly box contains a combination of rubs, sauces, marinades, recipes, and other mystery items that they know you will love.
Grill Masters Club ships via USPS during the first week of the month.
The February 2016 Grill Masters Club information card didn’t include specific product information, but rather included info on what you can expect from the box and a recipe for Grilled Fish Steaks (using your own spices or one from the box). The box featured the following items:
~Pirate Jonny’s Guava Girl Gourmet Cooking & Grilling Sauce ($5.45): This sauce is sweet and is made from guava, tomatoes, tamarind and Pirate Jonny’s Caribbean spices. It’s all natural and contains no added sugar, salt or syrup. This is the kind of barbecue sauce I love. I don’t like anything too spicy or strong, but this was still flavorful and delicious.
~A Texas Tradition Pitt’s & Spitt’s Ultimate Rib Rub ($3): This rub has a “tinge of chili and salt add a dynamic flavoring to any of the “white” meats — pork, chicken, and shrimp”. We haven’t gotten a chance to make any ribs with it (the BBQ keeps getting covered by snow) yet, but as soon as things thaw out it’s going down. B and some the other guys in the neighborhood love to grill out and we all like to have little mini parties to test out what everyone else has made.
~Dirrty Swamp Black Pepper All Seasoning ($4.99): This seasoning, which has no MSG and is made and packaged in Texas, is good on everything. From beef to chicken to fish and veggies, it works. I tried it on chicken and veggies I baked in the oven and thought it was fabulous. It was just a great all around seasoning.
~Meat Mitch Rub ($5.99) (6oz): According to the website Meat Mitch’s Rub has the “perfect amount sweet, a dabble of heat, but doesn’t lose that little hint of salt that throws you over the edge”. I found it to be a little spicy, but I am a complete wimp when it comes to spicy things. B loved it.
~The Spanish Tin Far East Spain Blend ($7): The Spanish Tin arrived sealed, but somehow I ended up spilling spice all over when I opened it up. LOL! The lid was on tight and it was packed to the brim with spice. This is recommended for beef, lamb, pork, etc. but can also be used to make a yogurt dip which is really something I never would have thought of to use this for. I like the idea a lot and think the next time we BBQ I am going to do just that with this!
All totaled I came up with a value of $26.43 for the February 2016 Grill Masters Club. I expected the value of this one to be higher. I didn’t include shipping in my prices (I never do), but I would have expected the value to at least equal the cost of the box before shipping. The products that were included were high-quality and we will use up every single one, I just wish the value in general was higher.
