My March 2016 POPSUGAR Must Have Box ships via FedEx Smart Post and takes about a week to arrive. They seem to ship in batches (no idea if there is any rhyme or reason to the order they use) so some people get their boxes delivered before other people have gotten shipping notices.
The March 2016 POPSUGAR Must Have Box which was inspired by “Feminine, Refreshing, Vibrant, Daydreaming & Illuminating” included the following items:
~Miss Ivy Pearl Five Tassel Necklace (PopSugar exclusive) ($38): I have mixed feelings on this necklace. I love the tassels (it does drive me crazy that all the strings aren’t even on the big one, but I can easily clip the longer ones) and I love the colors, but I just can’t see myself wearing it. I feel like it’d be better suited (for me anyway) as a keychain (it’d get dirty quick though) or as some sort of household decoration. Maybe even as a bracelet. Still I appreciate that this is different than any other necklace or piece of jewelry that they have ever sent out in the past. It’s not easy coming up with fresh ideas for subscription boxes so I do really like that they went for something different.
~Nanette Nanette Lepore Classis Rose Gold Watch ($55): This watch is gorgeous! The strap is a beige vegan leather and it has a white enamel dial with rose gold roman numerals, hands and face. I don’t necessarily need a new watch, but I am happy to get it. The colors are ideal for Spring and it’s just a really pretty piece.
~Pixi by Petra Book of Beauty Minimal Makeup ($24): The Book of Beauty Minimal Makeup Palette includes 2 highlighters, 2 cheek shades, and 4 eye shades. The colors are gorgeous and very wearable!
~Govino Go-Anywhere Carafe and Water Glass Set ($14.95): POPSUGAR has sent us an assortment of Govino products over the years so this carafe / water glass set makes for a nice addition. I am going to keep it next to my bed at night. I like having water near my bed, but can’t be trusted with a breakable glass and hate having half full water bottles laying around. If you have never tried Govino products, I recommend checking them out. They are made from food-safe, 100% BPA-free polymer and are unbreakable, reusable and 100% recyclable. It also LOOKS like real glass which I am always amazed about.
~Hello Extra Whitening Fluoride Toothpaste ($4.49): My husband is much more excited about getting toothpaste in subscription boxes than I am, so I will be passing this along to him. It’s vegan and whitens teeth with no peroxide, no dyes or artificial sweeterners, no preservatives. Instead it contains xylitol, stevia and a silica and calcium carbonate blend which work together to prevent cavities, strengthen enamel and freshen breath.
~Goodie Girl Cookies in Toffee Chaos ($5): Delicious. These cookies are exactly the type of snack I like to see in POPSUGAR! They are gluten-free, non-GMO and certified Kosher. They are also crunchy and buttery and have chocolate chips in them. So good!
~My Lola Coupon Code (First Box Free) ($10): Tampons are never super exciting, but they are a necessity. This code allows you to get your first box free when you sign up for a LOLA subscription (you can cancel anytime). They are 100% cotton which means they are 100% natural, 100% biodegradable, and 100% easy to feel good about.
All totaled I came up with a value of $151.44 for the March 2016 enter my giveaway!
I didn’t care for this box. While the watch is nice, the face was too big.
I don’t wear make up. Thankfully my mom does.
The necklace looks like embroidery floss.
I do like the water carafe and am looking forward to trying the cookies and tooth paste.
I understand they can’t make a box that pleases everyone, but this one was a miss for me. I’m looking forward to April!
Ohhhh my gosh, those cookies….. I am super happy about the carafe. I broke the glass one I had and this is a perfect replacement. I’m also strangely excited about the toothpaste. I am not sure I like the watch, sadly. That was the thing I was most excited about but I think I was hoping for a replacement for not getting the Box of Style watch and of course it’s not.
I also ordered my tampons. The website asked if I wanted to share that fact on FB. What???? Do people actually do that???? Um, TMI???
Also, on the Lola website, it says that one founder was a member of an organization that “secretly stocked campus bathrooms with tampons. . . .” So confused… Why was it a secret? Was there some campus policy against putting tampons in women’s restrooms?? What would happen if they got caught?? What is this school??!?? LOL
The Govino item is perfect, not long time ago we discovered that our cat was drinking water from the glasses we left during the night, so, we had been sharing water with the cat for a long time ~~ hehehehe, this will be perfect, now I am curios what she will do 😉
I wasn’t sure about the necklace at first but then I paired it with a t-shirt dress and I think it has a little boho-chic vibe going on.
LOL, I wish I could use the carafe and glass. But I have cats. Who when they want attention like to push glasses of water off the counter/bedside stand. If they don’t want attention, they will just put their face and/or paws into the water so that when you go to drink you have cat hair all over your tongue. Not pretty. I’ve learned to accept the fact that I have unbreakable water bottles all over the house (I even have a nice pretty plastic closable wine glass so that if I decide to go to the bathroom I won’t come back to find wine all over every thing with a cat in the corner preening itself with a nonchalant “who me” look.)
Not the best box for me, but not PopSugars fault. I too, think the necklace is cool, but not necessarily me. I have an iWatch and therefore don’t wear most costume jewelry watches (still need to figure out what to do with the Rachel Zoe one) though this will be nice to gift. Too. Much. Makeup. But I did tell myself I need to get it all my makeup in one place and figure out what to keep and since this is newer may try to use it. Cookies. Oh, they were gone in a heartbeat. Toothpaste I’ll use. Er, no longer have need for tampons. Again, not a bad box, just not a “me” box.
This box was just so-so for me. AND it was missing the necklace! I’ve sent an email off about this to customer service. Has anyone ever had a missing item before?!
Yes, definitely. They are usually pretty good about providing replacements, even if they are not good about providing tracking for the replacement.
I am intrigued by the toothpaste…that’s the only thing I like about this box.
