bluum, is a monthly box of goodies for moms and babies. Products are hand-selected based on your child’s age (from pregnancy to preschool), gender and developmental stage. They now have an option that allows you to select the items you wish to receive in your boxes which I think is awesome. You don’t have to pick, but the option is there if you’d like to. I have gotten bluum for years and while the boxes have had their ups and downs I have generally been pretty pleased with them and have stuck with my subscription (which is for my 4 year-old son – aka W).
bluum ships via FedEx Smart Post and generally takes about a week to arrive. I typically plan on receiving it during the second half of the month.
I swear I picked my items for this box, but I must not have because I know I did not select these items. It’s possible I didn’t finalize them in time?
My April 2016 bluum box, for a 4 year-old boy, included the following items:
~So Easy Popsicle Maker ($8.47): This is made out of 100% food-grade silicone and can make 4 popsicles at a time. I don’t have a lot of flat space in my freezer, but the silicone seems sturdy enough to hold the liquid in without it being totally flat.
~I Want to Draw Monsters Activity Book ($3.41): This activity book is all dry erase so it can be used over and over again. That’s awesome because we can go through a lot of paper / coloring book pages in an afternoon. This is an item I would have likely selected on my own.
~Dreambaby Stop Slam ($5.39): This is designed to prevent doors from slamming shut on little fingers. My kids are actually pretty good about not slamming the doors (actually they don’t even ever remember to shut them), so this isn’t something we necessarily need. It’ll be a good add-on gift for the next baby shower I have to attend though.
~Urban Canvas City Streets Collection Metropolis Train Set ($25): I could have sworn that we received this in a previous bluum box, but I cannot find it anywhere on my blog? Maybe I ordered it as an add-on at one point or another? Oh well. It doesn’t require any glue to assemble (it’s just folding) and you and your little one can even decorate one side (it’s reversible). This will be a really fun rainy day activity.
All totaled I came up with a value of $42.19 for my April 2016 bluum box. I feel like bluum has really been stepping it up lately and their values have been getting better and better!
