BOXWALLA Food Box April 2016 Subscription Box Review
The Boxwalla Food Box contains ridiculously delicious food products made in small batches in the U.S.A. Each included product is one of the best they have found in its category and will add something extra special to your foodie life.

Disclosure: This complimentary box was sent for review purposes. As always, all opinions are my own, and no compensation was received.

Boxwalla Food Box ships bi-monthly via USPS. Boxwalla boxes are made in India from tree-free handmade paper. The boxes are made out of cotton scraps, using the traditional art of paper-making that involves nine steps and takes several weeks. The handmade paper is then meticulously fashioned into the boxes that the goodies get shipped in.

The April 2016 Boxwalla Food Box theme was “An Afternoon Tea Party” and included the following items:

~Providence Perfume Company Organic Perfumed Teas ($10): I may not drink tea, but even I think these are absolutely beautiful.  Subscribers received Brambleberry Rose and Violetta flavors, and each test tube is enough is enough for 2-3 cups of brewed tea.  I am going to use these are gift toppers for shower gifts!

~Lark Fine Foods Shortbread Trio ($8): The shortbread trio includes Burnt Sugar, Salted Rosemary, and Espresso Chip varieties.  I love shortbread cookies, and these are so buttery and rich.  They start out hard and crunchy on the outside but are much softer when you bite into them. I expected the Burnt Sugar to be my favorite, but I liked the Espresso Chip best.

~Wozz! Kitchen Creations Balsamic Fig Mostarda ($10): Suggestions for this spread include; cheese (aged goats cheese, blue cheese, charcuterie, roasted meats, pork, turkey, roast beef, Easter ham and crackers. I thought it was great with crackers and cheese. Just regular old crackers and cheese. Nothing fancy.  It contains sweet figs, raisins, and fresh pears which are simmered in a balsamic reduction with a touch of hot mustard spice.   I couldn’t taste the mustard, and that was just fine with me.

~Vine Street Market USA Apron ($48): We just received a tote bag from Vine Street Market in the February Little Lace Box.  Their products are made out of 100% cotton canvas and are super sturdy.  I love the pattern on this and think it’s one of the nicer aprons I have received in a subscription box.

All totaled I came up with a value of $76 for the April 2016 Boxwalla Food Box.  Not a super amazing value, but I loved everything in it!
