FabFitFun Spring 2016 Subscription Box Review + Coupon Code
fabfitfun is a quarterly monthly subscription box that includes hand-selected items (the “hottest of the season”) in beauty, fashion, fitness and wellness from the fabfitfun team. fabfitfun is $49.99/quarter and beginning with their Summer 2014 box, they ship to Canada!

fabfitfun ships via FedEx Smart Post and took about a week to arrive to me. This box was designed by Minna So, who is a graphic designer, UX/UI designer, illustrator and letterer from Seattle.

This box was stuffed!

I think this was my favorite page in the booklet.  It’s an artistic look back at items from all of the previous fabfitfun boxes!  fabfitfun got off to a bit of a rough start (their boxes weren’t all the same when they started so some people received better boxes than others), but they are now one of my favorite subscriptions.

The Spring 2016 fabfitfun included the following items:

~Kitchen Herb Garden DIY Kit by MakersKit ($35): This kit includes all of the materials you need to grow mint, thyme and basil. Inside of the wooden box are plastic pots and compost.  All you need is a little sunlight and water.  I can’t wait to get this growing!  It seems like it will be fairly simple which is good because I don’t have much of a green thumb.

~Contour Kit by ISH ($32): ISH is a brand-new makeup line created by celebrity makeup artist (and FabFitFun Beauty Advisor) Joey Maalouf and FabFitFun.  Each palette includes a highlighter, bush, bronzer and contour. All subscribers were given the opportunity to choose between Light / Medium and Medium / Dark.  I opted for the Light / Medium. I am loving the highlighter and blush, but haven’t gotten a chance to use much of the bronzer (it’s still a little dark for me) or contour.  I am wondering if we’ll be seeing more ISH products in future boxes since it’s a FFF brand?

~Jus D’Amour Bath Bomb Trinity ($28): These bath bombs include organic ingredients and an essential oil blend. The three different scents include: eucalyptus, peppermint and lime, lavender, chamomile and ylang ylang and jasmine, rose and sandalwood.  These aren’t something I would purchase on my own, but will make for a great treat when I decide to take a long bath.

~Bodipure Keratin Gloves® and Socks ($9.98): Love these!  I used the socks almost as soon as I opened up this box and they left my feet noticably softer.  I haven’t used the gloves yet, but I am planning on it soon. One note – if you don’t plan on sitting down the entire time you are using the socks, put some thick socks on over them to keep them in place. I didn’t and then tried to walk around in them which was not a good idea.

~Jook and Nona Gold Plated Tag Necklace (Happy) ($65): FabFitFun VIP subscribers were able to choose between the following sayings: “Happy”, “Love”, “Inspire” or Dream”.  I opted for Happy. These necklaces are 18k gold-plated stainless steel and were designed to help you radiate positive energy.  Note: VIP subscribers appear to be those with annual subscriptions or those who are long-time FFF subscribers.

~Shaving Emulation Lotion by HelloLegs ($19.95): HelloLegs must be a new brand because I can’t find a website for them yet (I used the value listed on the information card). This lotion combines the “richest body lotion with the most gentle of shaving creams”.  I am not real big into shaving cream (I just don’t find it necessary), so I will likely end up giving this to a friend to use.

~Argan & Hemp Oil Therapy by Marrakesh ($22.99): I was just running on of argan oil so the timing on this is perfect.  It smooths your hair while also leaving it shiny and frizz-free.  A little bit goes a long way so if you are unsure or have never used argan oil before, start with just a small amount (maybe the size of a nickel) and go from there.

~Merrithew Mat Strap Plus ($14.99): This strap can be used as a resistance cord during strength training or as an alternative to your yoga mat bag.  I must say, this strap is much easier to use than many of the yoga bags I have tried.  I think this might be my favorite fitness item (they always include one) that FabFitFun has sent.

~31 Bits Gift Card ($25): 31 Bits offers handmade jewelry by artisans in Uganda allowing them to rise above poverty and create a better life for themselves. Shipping is not included with the card but the card value can be applied to shipping.

~Sterling Forever Gift Card ($30): The box also included a $30 gift card to Sterling Forever which carries a mix of easy-to-wear pieces from a vaiety of designers.  This card includes free shipping so check the sale section if you don’t want to spend above the card amount!

All totaled the Spring 2016 fabfitfun box had a value of $282.91.  That includes the value of the gift cards, but even without those the value on this box is over 4x the cost!  It had an amazing mixture of items and I am quite pleased with it.

What do you think of fabfitfun?  What was your favorite item from this box?  If you haven’t yet subscribed but want to get signed up (you’d receive this Spring box as your first one) you can use the coupon code “SAVES10” to save $10 off your first box.
