Hammock Pack April 2016 Subscription Box Review - "Montana"
Hammock Pack is a monthly surprise pack filled with everything you need to take a much-needed getaway without even leaving your home. Boxes are geared towards women and each month you will receive a pack filled with a mix of food, bath products, housewares, and accessories that you’d only find if you visited that month’s destination city.  I subscribe to the “Regular” Box.

Hammock Pack ships via USPS Priority Mail and is supposed to ship around the 25th of the month. Some months my box ships a little later than that and sometimes it’s a bit earlier.

The April 2016 Hammock Pack destination was “Montana” and included the following items:

~Noteworthy Paper & Press Tea Towel ($14): It’s tea towel month for the subscription boxes!  I think this is the third or fourth one I have received?  Regardless, I love it.  Noteworthy is located in downtown Missoula and offers everything from kitchen linens to stationery and invitations.  The fish print on here would be great up-north (up-north means Northern Michigan where there are lots of lakes and woods) so I am going to give this one to my mom to keep up there.

~Tipu’s Chai Tea ($8.95): Tipu’s is located in Polson, MT and uses an old family recipe for their teas.  As you know I am not huge on tea, but I do like Chai Tea better than herbal teas, so I may keep this one for myself.  We’ve been having some very chilly nights around here lately and this would be quite nice.

~Huckleberry Haven Waffle Mix (~$7): I couldn’t find this exact mix online, so I had to estimate a price.  Huckleberry Haven is located in Northwest Montana and has been manufacturing their products since 1987.  I don’t believe we have a waffle maker, but from what I can tell I should be able to make pancakes from this.  I read that you generally can’t use a pancake mix for waffles, but you can use a waffle mix for pancakes?  Can anyone confirm this?  I will post after we try!

All totaled I came up with a value of approximately $29.95 for the April 2016 Hammock Pack.  That’s less than the cost of the box and I was disappointed that this box only had three items.  It typically has four and I for sure felt like this was missing something.

What do you think of Hammock Pack?  What city / state would you like to see them do next?

Huh. Mine also had some Red Wagon Coffee, a facial tea, and a postcard. They also included a handwritten note because I live in MT. Three items would feel scarce.
