My Pretend Place is a quarterly Dress Up Play subscription box for children aged 3-6. Each box includes dress-up costumes, activities or crafts, and other pretend play inspiration. You can select a subscription by gender or you can build your own subcription and select which themes you’d prefer for each quarter.
The My Pretend Place Dress Up subscription ships on a quarterly basis.
My nearly 4 year-old was so excited to see this!
The April 2016 My Pretend Place Dress Up “Boy” subscription included the following Construction themed items:
~Melissa & Doug Construction Worker Role Play Set ($23.49): When I heard that the theme this quarter was going to be construction I was thrilled! The set includes a construction worker vest, goggles, a hammer, a saw and a hard hat. There is always a ton of construction happening in Michigan so we are super familiar with all of these items. My 4 year-old (aka W) was THRILLED with the hammer. He really liked the goggles (well safety glasses) too, but the hammer made the outfit for him.
~Dig, Dogs, Dig A Construction Tail ($12.64): All My Pretend Place Dress-Up boxes also include a book. This one added one of W’s other favorite things (dogs) to the theme. It’s really cute and it rhymes, which makes it extra fun to read.
~Project #1: Work Zone Sign: We haven’t gotten a chance to make the included crafts yet, but the next time it rains we plan to do these. The work zone sign is a chalkboard, so you can change it up to say whatever you want.
~Project #2 – Construction Cones: The idea behind these is to use the construction paper to turn them into actual construction looking cones. My kids seem to love them as is, but maybe they will love them even more once we decorate them.
Doesn’t W look adorable? And his little construction assistant dog looks good too.
All totaled the My Pretend Place Construction themed box had a value of about $35 (I used Amazon prices – not retail prices). That doesn’t include the cost of the projects which I am guessing might bump it up $10 or so? I wouldn’t call it a value box by any means, but it was well put together and fun.
If you are interested in subscribing to My Pretend Place you can use the coupon code “pretend” to save 30% off your first box which brings the cost down to only $35!
