I peeked at the spoilers for this one so I knew what to expect from it.  The box itself is about half the size as the full-size POPSUGAR box and about twice the size of a Birchbox.

The April 2016 POPSUGAR Must Have Mini included the following items:

~Greenmarket Purveying Co. in White Melon Pantry Candle (7oz) ($16): This candle smells amazing. Like I cannot get enough of it.  It has notes of fresh melon, sweet peach, zesty citrus and comforting vanilla.  It basically screams Spring and I love it!  It’s hand-poured in small batches and made in the USA as well. The box also included a coupon code (MUSTHAVE25) for 25% your next order from Greenmarket Purveying.

~Farmacy Lip Bloom (Scents May Vary) ($16.50): I received this in the Lavender Mint scent, but it looks like it comes in a total of six different scents so it will be interesting to see how many different variations were sent out from POPSUGAR. It’s very moisturizing, smells great (although I have to admit I would have preferred one of the other scents) and gives off a nice shine.  This isn’t something I would purchase on my own (I probably would have bought that candle on my own though), but it makes for a special treat in here!

POPSUGAR Must Have Mini April 2016 Subscription Box Review

All totaled the April 2016 POPSUGAR Must Have Mini box had a value of $32.50.  POPSUGAR promises a value for this one of $30+, so it’s right in line with that.  I know a lot of people are disappointed with the contents of this one and I do feel like they played it safe.  Maybe even a little boring?  Still, I love candles and lip balms (that is no secret), so I am happy with this box.

I am glad I skipped it. The two things I do not need any more of are candles and lip balm. ha ha

Ugh — mine is still on my way to me, but now I’m definitely bummed that I bothered subscribing. I understand that they advertised two full size products, and that’s what they delivered. But it would have made me so much happier if they included a little more — maybe a couple of sample size products (the kind of stuff that Sephora always gives you for free). I almost didn’t subscribe, but then I thought that Popsugar, even when they’re not perfect, they’re always good. (Like pizza!) Oh well. Not this time.

Burning the candle as we speak – yummy! I got the gloss in Strawberry Basil. I’m happy with the box. Both are great items that I may have otherwise never tried.

Since everyone is always quick to complain about PS, what would any of you have wanted instead, specifically? Would your choices make everyone happy??

Couldn’t agree more! I feel like they did play it safe, but that was okay with me!! I love candles & Lip balm so it’s a big win for me! 🙂

Just got mine today! I love the candle and that made the price of the box worth it to me. I got the balm in Strawberry Basil. Normally not a potted balm fan nor a strawberry scent fan, but I have to try it to see what makes this a $16.50 balm.

Good point, Greer. I’m glad I sibscribed to the box and while I don’t care for the scent of the candle (I prefer floral scents) I know one of my friends will love it! I’m looking forward to next month!

I don’t really have an issue with candles inthe subscription boxes as we get LOTS of them, however, i have a problem with a 16.00 lip balm, there alot of really great lip balms for 5-6.00 think egg shaped- so what makes this one worth the extra 10?

What makes it better than a $5 lip balm? All natural without waxes or petroleum. Also contains beneficial ingredients that are good for your lips/skin that promote moisture retention and healing.
