Stitch Fix April 2016 Subscription Box ReviewStitch Fix is a personal styling service for women. With Stitch Fix, you provide your style, size (they also do maternity fixes), and budget preferences, and they will send you a package of stylish goodies to try on at home. You only pay for the items you love and decide to keep. There is a $20 styling fee which is applied to your order should you decide to keep any / all of the pieces.  If you don’t keep anything, you don’t receive a refund of the fee. If you keep all of the pieces, you get a 25% discount on everything!  Also, I should mention that you are only charged once you “check out” at Stitch Fix.  You have a few days to try everything on and the box comes with a bag and a prepaid USPS return label so you can easily ship back the pieces you aren’t interested in.

Stitch Fix April 2016 Subscription Box ReviewMy Stitch Fix shipped via FedEx (out of Dallas) this month and took just a few days to arrive. Stitch Fix ships from a few different warehouse locations in the US. I used to think they shipped based on your location, but now I am not so sure because my previous boxes all arrived from Indiana and this one was from Dallas.

The first thing I noticed in this one was the shoe bag!

I didn’t realize I had my blog linked in my profile on Stitch Fix, but clearly I do because she read my post from last month.  That is actually great though because I am not the best at completing my reviews on the Stitch Fix site.

Stitch Fix April 2016 Subscription Box ReviewMy April 2016 Stitch Fix included the following pieces:

~Loveappella Paulo 3/4 Sleeve Lace Detail Knit Top ($58): I keep going back and forth on this one. I like the detail on the back, but not on the bottom of the shirt.  It’s longer which I like, but ultimately I can’t see myself reaching for it in the closet enough for me to keep it. Verdict: Returned.

~Gentle Souls Portobello Loafer Flats ($150): I had been so excited to get shoes in a Fix, but I am not a fan of these.  Well, wait, I like them (and they are comfortable), but don’t have much use for them and they are too expensive for me.  They seem to be quite well-made, but for red shoes that I would likely only wear here and there, I just can’t justify the price tag. Verdict: Returned.

~Market & Sprice Bernadette Lace Overlay Raglan Top ($58): Totally cute on someone else, but I can’t see myself in this at all.  The lace mixed with the t-shirt sleeves just doesn’t look right on me.  Maybe if it was in a different color? I am not sure. The cut is great though and I like the 3/4 length sleeves. Verdict: Returned.

~Dear John Kyleigh Straight Leg Jean ($78): I should really change my fix to note that I don’t need any more demin.  With summer coming (well, I hope it gets here anyway) they aren’t a shopping priority.  All that said though I had a hard time putting these in the return bag.  They are soft and color / fade is just about perfect.  Verdict: Returned.

~Kensie Mally Ponte Jacket ($88): Super cute!  I’ll probably wear it more as a cardigan than an actual jacket, but I think that’s the point.  It’s a little more than I would typically spend on something like this, but with the $20 styling fee discount (which I would otherwise lose), it’s a bit more reasonable. Verdict: Kept.

This is the best fix I’ve ever seen! Just pack it up and send it to me please 😀

I have done about 4 months of stitch fix so far. The boxes have gotten better with each month. My only real complaint is that as a woman with a budget they never seem to follow my budget profile specifications ( spend no more than 75 dollars on a pair of pants) so I’m considering cancelling mine. Does this happen to anyone else ?
