Birchbox Man (as pictured here) is $20/month and sends you monthly deliveries of deluxe grooming and lifestyle samples, tailored to your profile. With Birchbox Man you can try cult brands, up-and-coming lines, and everything in between. They have also just launched Birchbox Man Beta! It’s $10/month and contains four deluxe samples from a single grooming category, like shave cream, cologne, moisturizer, etc. These categories are selected according to the online profile you fill out at the start of your membership. It sounds like if you are already signed for up the Lifestyle Box (which I am) you will continue to receive that box. If you new to Birchbox, you can opt for the new Birchbox Man Beta or you can e-mail them (beta@birchbox.com) to get subscribed to the original Lifestyle Box. For some reason I can’t find any information about the new $10 Birchbox Man box on their site right now. I will keep you posted if that changes.
Birchbox Man ships via USPS (through Newgistics) and generally arrives during the first few days of the month or the last few days or the previous month.
My husband has been getting Birchbox Man for ages and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. Their point system is one of my favorites of all the subscription boxes.
The June 2016 Birchbox Man theme was “The Open Road” and included the following”
~CW BEGGS AND SONS Face Scrub (15mL) ($1.92): This is gentle enough to use daily, but strong enough that you can feel a difference. It contains bamboo particles to exfoliate, menthol to cool, and aloe to restore.
~PARLOR® by Jeff Chastain Volumizing & Texturizing Shampoo (30mL) ($2.75) PARLOR® by Jeff Chastain Volumizing & Texturizing Conditioner (Sample): I have received this in some of my own Birchbox boxes and I have always liked it. I hate when companies send a shampoo without a conditioner (or vice versa) so I apprecitae the conditioner packet in here. This works and smells great! The scent is a mixture of ripe peach, fresh cut grass, and white woods.
~Knockaround Fort Knocks Sunglasses ($25): These were our Lifestyle sample choice item this month. Other options included a Native Union Key Cable Lightning or a Richer Poorer Sock Duo. We always need sunglasses around here so this was an easy pick. They are sturdy and stylish and come with a great case.
~English Laundry Eau de Parfum Oxford Bleu (~$2): This perfume has notes of zesty lemon and mint, iris and geranium and a sandalwood and vanilla base. It smells amazing and it’s a mini sprayer sample which I find easier to use than just the vials with the sticks.
~Kiehl’s Ultimate Man Body Scrub Soap (90g / 3.2oz) ($6.86): This can be used all over (not on your face), but is better for rough areas like elbows and knees. Kiehls is one of my all-time favorite brands and I am always happy when I see it in a subscription box!
All totaled I came up with a value of $38.53 for the June 2016 Birchbox Man. Including the points for purchasing the box (20 points = $2) and the points for reviewing the products (60 points = $6), the real value of this box is $46.53. We thought this month’s box was great and we were thrilled with it!

The Ultimate Man soap is one of my favorite products ever! I think the name is funny…I am here to say that it works well for ladies, too! It is so exfoliating-perfect before shaving, and I love the scent. I actually prefer the “travel” size because the full size is HUGE. The travel size still lasts for quite a while.
Hi there, I gifted my boyfriend birchbox man beta for only ten bucks a month and for some reason I can’t find any info on the 20 dollar box on their site. Maybe it varies by market?
I kind of explained it in the first paragraph, but the $20 box used to be their only box option. The $10 one is the new offering and shows up on their site now and then. If you look at their site right now and try to sign up for the Box, it shows the $20 box. It’s just hit or miss as to what’s up that day?
