GLOSSYBOX Limited Edition Mother's Day Box Review

GLOSSYBOX is a monthly beauty subscription box and includes five luxury surprise beauty items shipped to your door.  Every once in a while (typically for Mother’s Day and around the holidays) they offer a limited edition box.  This review is on the Mother’s Day Limited Edition Box.  It was a one-time purchase of $40 and was “filled with trending beauty essentials valued at $148″.

The GLOSSYBOX Mother’s Day Box ships via FedEx Smart Post.  I ordered when it launched a few weeks ago, but if you order today, I don’t believe it will ship in time for Mother’s Day.

As usual, the presentation on this one was amazing. GLOSSYBOX has some of the best packaging in the subscription box business, and this box was no exception to that.

The 2016 GLOSSYBOX Mother’s Day Box included the following items:

~Ouidad Wave Create Sea Spray (6 fl.oz) ($26): This does what you’d expect from a sea spray – it volumizes and gives great texture, but doesn’t contain the drying effects of salt. It smells like you are on a tropical vacation and I think I found a new favorite.  It did everything as promised and it didn’t make my hair hard or crunchy. It was still soft, but wth texture.

~Click Click Lipstick by Doucce ($24): This lipstick “clicks” open / closed.  You click it from the bottom to release the lipstick and then to close you push the tube all the way into the lid until it clicks.  I cannot figure out where on this lipstick they list the color (?), but this is a very pretty, very wearable berry shade.

~bareMinerals Pure Plush Gentle Deep Cleansing Foam (4.2oz) ($22): This cleanser has a light grapefruit scent.  It’s foamy (I love that because I feel like it “works” better) and removes makeup and other impurities.  It’s infused with Elderflower and Rosemary Extracts, plus mineral-rich Sea Salts and so far, I am loving it.

~Baked Blush-N-Brighten by Laura Geller (Tropic Hues) ($28): This blush (which is a subscription box favorite) is made by Italian artisans and starts as a cream.  It’s baked for 24 hours on a terracotta tile then hand-finished—resulting in a smooth, long-wearing formula.  And a gorgeous piece of art. I received Tropical Hues, which contain swirls of coral, pink and bronze.  I love the color, and it’s such a large size, so it’s going to last for ages.

~KARITY Professional Five Pigments Eyeshadow Palette ($21): This palette contains both matte and shimmer shades and can be applied with an eyeshadow brush, foam tip applicators, or fingers.  The Birthday Suite was almost the same shade as my skin, but the other shades were beautiful.  I absolutely love the Diva which is almost a copper / beige.  So pretty!

~Lauren B Beauty Top Coat ($28): The final item in the box was a Lauren B top coat polish.  I really need to get back to using a top coat because my polish just doesn’t last like it should.

~Coupon Code: The box also contained a unique coupon code for 15% off a 6-month GLOSSYBOX subscription.

All totaled I came up with a value of $150 for the 2016 Mother’s Day GLOSSYBOX.  I was thrilled with this box and love when GLOSSYBOX does limited edition boxes!

Did you order the GLOSSYBOX Limited Edition Box?  What’d you think?  They are still available (although they won’t arrive by Mother’s Day), so if you are interested in ordering snag one before they sell out.
