GLOSSYBOX May 2016 Subscription Box Review
GLOSSYBOX kindly sent me their May 2016 box to review early, and I am so excited to share it! GLOSSYBOX is a monthly beauty subscription box and includes five luxury surprise beauty items shipped to your door.   I have been a subscriber for years (in addition to getting review boxes I also pay for a subscription) and am always in awe of the value they pack into their boxes.

GLOSSYBOX ships via USPS and generally boxes ship in the second half of the month. Sometimes it’s the last week of the month; sometimes it’s closer to the beginning of the month.

GLOSSYBOX packaging is amazing.  Their boxes are study and high-quality and they make you feel like you are opening up a gift.

This box was packed full!

The May 2016 GLOSSYBOX included the following items:

~RITUALS Cosmetics Shower Foam in Zensation (50mL) ($3.75): This turns from a gel into a foam when the water hits it.  It almost reminds me of a shave gel, but it is a shower foam.  Zensation is a organic rice milk and cherry blossom blend.  I like how it foams and it smells good too.

~Veraspa Face Moisturizing Gradual Tanner (0.5fl.oz) ($8.75): This moisturizer “hydrates skin, blurs fine lines and creates a beautiful tan”.  So far I can’t see any differences, but I am hoping it really does give my skin a nice gradual tan.

~NIOXIN System 3 Cleanser and Scalp Therapy Conditioner (1.7fl.oz each) (~$5): This shampoo and conditioner are designed for “normal to thin-looking” hair.  I guess that describes my hair.  It’s normal and I do wish it had some more volume.  Did it work?  I’m not sure yet.  It may be too soon for it to start looking thicker, but it did look good.  The shampoo is a little tingly on the scalp, but I don’t mind.  It makes me feel like it’s working.

~TALIKA Photo-Hydra Day (30mL) ($39.30): According to the information card this has a value of $29, but according to the information online, it’s actually a $39.30 value. It’s a ” deeply hydrating moisturiser which smoothes and re-plumps the skin”.  I found it to be lightweight, but very moisturizing.  I think it will make a nice summer moisturizer.

~Benefit Roller Lash Mascara ($8): I have tried this a few times in the past and while I like it, I didn’t LOVE it.  If I wasn’t overloaded on mascara as it is, I would use it though! However, I will be passing this one on to a friend to enjoy.

~Nioxin Night Density Rescue $5 Coupon Code: The biox also includes a $5 coupon code for the “#1 selling salon brand for thicker, fuller looking hair”.

All totaled I came up with a value of $64.80 for the May 2016 GLOSSYBOX.  Probably not my favorite GLOSSYBOX, but it included some new to me brands (and some old favorites) and, overall, I am happy with it.

If you are interested in ordering use coupon code “LIGHTUPGLOSS” to get a free Pure Illumination Light Up Lip Gloss (a $20 value) with your May GLOSSYBOX!  This offer is valid for new customers only and is only available while supplies last.
