Julep 8-Piece Star Spangled Banner Gift Set Review (Free With New Subscription)

Julep is a monthly nail polish (and beauty) subscription service.  They offer a “My Maven” box for $24.99/month which contains $40+ worth of product and polish each month.  You are able to fully customize your box so you are guaranteed to receive only products you think you’ll love! This review is on the 8-Piece Star Spangled Banner which is FREE for new subscribers which was sent to be my Julep to check out.

Julep ships via USPS on a monthly basis at the end of month.  The 8-Piece Star Spangled Banner will ship separately from your first box.

As you can see this box only has 6 items – not 8 like subscribers will receive.  My box was missing Kirby, a silver glitter polish, and the white chevron nail decals.   There was a warehouse mix-up, but if you subscribe using the “FIREWORKS” code, you will receive ALL 8 items.

The box includes a welcome note and some details on your Julep subscription.  The Julep Star Spangled Banner Gift Set included the following items:

~Myriam (Classic with a Twist): Mryiam is a casino red crème.  It’s leans more to the orange side of red and is a very pretty color.

~Paulina (It Girl): Paulina is a peacock duo chrome.  I love that it’s not the typical bright blue and instead is a blueish / green shade.  It has great coverage and I could totally see myself needing only one coat with this.

~Brigitte (Classic with a Twist): Brigitte is a bright white creme.  Every once in a while I will do a white accent nail, but mainly I use the white as a base coat under super light polishes.

~Polish Swatches:

~Skip the Brush – Peony Pink: Skip the Brush is a one stick wonder made for luminous, dewy cheeks, but versatile on eyes and lips, too. I love it. The color is a little too pink for me, but if I apply lightly it’s awesome.  It’s easy to apply and easy to blend.  Perfect for summer.

~Julep Lip Gloss – Lively: Lively is a Sheer Hot Pink Shimmer with Power Cell Complex.  It looks red in the tube, but it’s for sure pink.  It’s not a bright pink, but more of a shiny soft pink.  Totally love!

~When Pencil Met Gel Eyeliner – Bronze Shimmer: This pencil delivers the creamy formula & intense color payoff of a gel eyeliner.  It’s super easy to apply and honestly, you could use this as a shadow too.  The color is perfect and I thought it stayed put for ages.

~Swatches:

The box will also include White Chevron Nail Decals (similar to these) and Kirby (Bombshell) – a silver jagged glitter top coat.

If you want to take advantage of this offer and get your own 8-Piece Star Spangled Banner Gift use coupon code “FIREWORKS” at checkout.
