Sprouting Threads May 2015 Subscription Box Review
Sprouting Threads is a subscription based clothing service that gives the members options of frequency, quantity & assortment to meet their family’s needs. Members are also given the option to “rethread” (or send pieces back after their child outgrows them) for store credit. Keep what you like and return the rest. A $20 styling fee is refunded when keeping 2 or more new pieces. Prices vary depending on what is kept. Free shipping both ways.  My box was for L, my 8 year-old son.

Ohh, it looked pretty good!

Sprouting Threads May 2015 Subscription Box Review
Our May 2016 Sprouting Threads included the following pieces (all new – none rethreaded):

~Kitestrings Blue Chino Shorts with Sail Boats ($44): These are really cute, but they are too young for L.  Now my 4 year-old?  Yeah, I could see him wearing these.  But L’s 8 and there is no way I could talk him into wearing them.

~Tooby Doo Red Chino Shorts ($36): I love these shorts and so did L!  They are red (his favorite color) and fit perfect.  They also aren’t too heavy or thick so they are ideal for summer.

~Tooby Doo Orange Chino Shorts ($36): These shorts seem more lightweight than the red ones.  I don’t like them quite as much, but they are still pretty cute.  And I love the color.

~Jack Thomas Red Plaid Button Down ($36): I love this shirt! It’s red, white and blue and perfect for summer.

~Wes and Willy Plaid Shorts ($18): I like these shorts, but again I feel like they are too young for L.  For my 4 year-old they would be great, but for my 8 year-old, not so much.

~Andy & Evan T-Shirt: This shirt matches the above shorts.  L does like this shirt (I’m not a huge fan though), so we’re keeping it.

~Joules Multi-Screen Print T-Shirt ($34): I love this!  I wouldn’t let L wear this to school (I don’t want to be the reason all of 2nd grade is saying “So Long Sucker”), but I think the colors are fun and the print is great!

~Tooby Doo White Polo: We always need a classic white polo shirt so this will come in handy.  White shirts and little boys don’t mix too well, but they always look so cute in them.

As I mentioned, if you keep at least two of the items your $20 styling fee will be deducted from your purchases. I was happy with these selections and think this is great for back to school shopping.  You can opt for monthly or seasonal deliveries and can get between 2 and 5 outfits per delivery (your choice) so it really is tailored to your needs.
