Stitch Fix May 2016 Subscription Box Review
Stitch Fix is a personal styling service for women. With Stitch Fix, you provide your style, size (they also do maternity fixes), and budget preferences, and they will send you a package of stylish goodies to try on at home. You only pay for the items you love and decide to keep. There is a $20 styling fee which is applied to your order should you decide to keep any / all of the pieces.  If you don’t keep anything, you don’t receive a refund of the fee. If you keep all of the pieces, you get a 25% discount on everything!  Also, I should mention that you are only charged once you “check out” at Stitch Fix.  You have a few days to try everything on and the box comes with a bag and a prepaid USPS return label so you can easily ship back the pieces you aren’t interested in.

Stitch Fix shipped via FedEx (out of Dallas) this month and took just a few days to arrive. Stitch Fix ships from a few different warehouse locations in the US. I used to think they shipped based on your location, but now I am not so sure because my previous boxes all arrived from Indiana and this one was from Dallas.

Eeek!  I loved this first look.

Every Stitch Fix contains a note from your Stylist with some styling tips and details on why they selected each item in your Fix for you.

My May 2016 Stitch Fix (which is Fix #32 for me) contained the following:

~Urban Expressions Elisha Zipper Accent Structured Satchel ($64): I love this purse!  I LOVE it!  I have been in search of a new Spring bag and this is it.  I was going to get the Bath & Body Works tote (the Spring gift one), but I love this one more.   It has a strap so it can be used as a crossbody, but I love it with just the handles. The inside has such a gorgeous fun pattern and has a zippered pocket along with two deep non-zippered ones. A total keeper. Verdict: Kept.

~Skies are Blue Bampton Crossover Mixed Material Knit Top ($54): This is just NOT me.  I don’t dislike mixing patterns or materials, but this combination is not working for me.  It just hangs weirdly and I’m not a fan.  Verdict: Returned.

~Market & Spruce Colibri Sleeveless Top ($44): I like this top (although if I stare at it too long I get dizzy), but I have a very similar one so I don’t need this one too.  I absolutely love the length on this though and if I didn’t already have one I would keep it. Verdict: Returned.

~Dear John Finnegan Roll Cuff Short ($58): Nope.  I do not really do shorts and I for sure don’t do jean shorts.  On the right person I am sure these are adorable, but I am not that person.  At all. Verdict: Returned.

~Loveappella Dawnty Pullover Hooded Knit Top ($58): Stitch Fix knows that if they send a hooded top I will keep it. No matter what color or style, if it has a hood I instantly love it. I don’t know why, but I have always loved them.  This is cozy and soft and the coral pipping on the edges is super fun.  Verdict: Kept.

Even though I only kept two items this month, I LOVED this month’s Stitch Fix!  The two pieces I kept were totally me and I feel like I scored with this Fix!
