BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for dogs. Each monthly box contains a combination of 4-6 treats, toys, and hygiene products that have been hand-selected and approved by Scout (the dog), head product tester for BarkBox. All treats included in the boxes are sourced from the USA and Canada, and chews are sourced from the USA, Canada, South America, Australia and New Zealand, so you can be assured that your pet is only getting safe, high-quality items. Boxes can be customized based on the size of your pet (I get the Small box for the furries) and you can add an extra toy to your box for an extra $9/month. We have been getting BarkBox for ages and have always been satisfied with them.
BarkBox ships via DHL Global Mail (starts out with DHL and is delivered by the Post Office) and took just a few days to arrive this month. I generally expect it to arrive on or around the 20th of the month.
I just love opening up BarkBox and seeing what theme they picked for the month.
The June 2016 BarkBox theme was “The Grrrreat Outdoors” and included the following items:
~The Pen-Demonism Plushie ($10): This is easily the cutest frying pan ever! The egg and bacon have crinkly papers inside so they are extra fun to play with. Really though it’s just funny to watch the dogs carry this around.
~Craft Dog Campfire Cookies Dog Treats (~$8?): I can’t seem to locate these online anywhere, but my dogs loved them. They couldn’t get enough actually. They are made out of grain-free bison and are a great size. They are soft and chewy and also made in the USA.
~The Lazy Dog Mutt Mallows (Roasted Vanilla) ($7.99): We haven’t opened this bag up yet, but they also feel soft and chewy and that’s always a win with my dogs. They are wheat, corn and soy free and also made and sourced in the USA.
~Panda’s Pocket Knife ($12): Again, adorable. Just when I think they can’t come up with anything cuter, I see this. It’s got a squeaker inside and is wrapped in ballistic nylon. Nothing will destroy this!
~Crunchy Duck Chew: The final item in the box was a duck chew stick. I don’t know that either of my dogs absolutely love these, but they love them enough to not want the other one to have it. It pretty much just turns into a giant keep away game when they get one.
I couldn’t do a price breakdown for this month’s BarkBox, but I loved it! Awesome curation and high-quality goodies!
Do you subscribe to BarkBox? What’d you think of this month’s box? If you want to subscribe or learn more, click here. A monthly subscription is $29/month, but if you opt for a longer subscription, the price drops as low as $18/month (that’s what I get)!
My pups loved the bacon and egg in the pan toy and the mutt mallows.
How did you get it to 18 dollars? Mine is 20 for the full year
Good question! Now that I look at the page, it shows $20/month for an annual subscription. I must have renewed when they had one of their discount codes??
