The June 2016 Orange Glad theme was “Let the Adventure Begin”:
~Merchant Roots by Chef Shelton & Chef Fraser Pina Colada Cookies and Jam: My cookies were pretty smashed, but even smashed, they were good. I didn’t like the pineapple rum jelly on the cookies, but I liked it on toast.
~Glace Pastry Couture by Chef Shelton Lemon Meringue Bar: Oh man, I didn’t like this one. The texture / consistency was just odd. I suppose if you like meringue you’d like it, though?
~Cranberry Sweets & More Pates de Fruits: Now these I enjoyed. They reminded me of those orange and lemon slices that I love, but in a variety of difference flavors. I think it’s mainly the sugar coating that makes these a love?
~Donsuemor Petit Gateau L’Orange: The information card calls this a “Lemon Meringue Bar”, but that is a misprint because these are for sure orange flavored. They were good, but not spectacular. They had a lot of orange flavor and the glaze on the top was tasty!
This box felt different than previous Orange Glad boxes, but I’m not sure it was different enough to account for the price change (Orange Glad raised their prices from $19/month to $25/month beginning on 6.1). I may end up having to let this one go.

It looks different than past boxes, and it has new products. It sure as hell isn’t worth the $25 price tag though, I’m sorry. I LOVED Orange Glad, they were my favorite box ever, but I dropped them when they stopped accepting coupons, then raised the box to $19, and now $25, no way! And the cutest packaging is gone too. For $25 I can go to the fancy chocolatier downtown and pick out a bunch of awesome candies.
They did used to have the cutest packaging! I had forgotten about that!
