The GlobeIn Artisan Box is a monthly subscription box featuring GlobeIn‘s favorite products from global artisans. Each box is curated around a monthly theme selected by their editor with the aim of helping you experience new and interesting products and cultures.
GlobeIn ships via USPS. Boxes ship on the 15th of the month (I received mine early for review purposes). Orders placed after the 15th of the calendar month will ship on the 15th of the following calendar month. If boxes sell out before the 15th your subscription will begin the following month.
Everything was wrapped in bubble wrap and seemed to be very well protected.
The July 2016 GlobeIn Artisan Box theme was “Savour” and included the following:
~Salt & Pepper Shakers, Palestinian Territories ($20): These salt & pepper shakers are hand pained by an artisan with Hebron Glass. Hebron Glass is a family company employing 60 artisans in the ancient city of Hebron. These are absolutely gorgeous and the craftsmanship is stunning.
~Hand-Painted Spoonrest, Palestinian Territories ($18): I love that they included matching pieces in this month’s box (if you also receive the Benefit Basket, you’ll receive a third matching piece as well). I currently have a plain white spoon rest on my counter and that will be quickly replaced with this beautiful one.
~Neem Wood Spice Bowl, India ($15): This bowl is designed to hold your favorite spices, but would also work to hold after dinner mints or even little trinkets. It was made by artisans in The Village Experience. Because of GlobeIn’s large order, this community has seen a 23% increase in revenue over the past year.
~Ilocano Asin Sea Salt (inside the mini basket), Phillippines ($12): This month subscribers were able to choose between the traditional GlobeIn basket or this Ilocana Asin Sea Salt. I received the Sea Salt which was harvested from the pure seawaters off the island of Luzon by traditional salt farmers. It can be used for anything from grilling and roasting to finishing your food.
All totaled the July 2016 GlobeIn Artisan Box had a value of $65. I am thrilled with this box and just love the hand painted salt and pepper shakers and spoon rest. SO pretty!
