ipsy July 2016 Subscription Box Review
ipsy sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products based on your ipsy profile. Their bags always have an incredible value (well over the $10 cost), and I am always amazed at how they do it. I don’t always love everything in the bags, but I always always think it was worth my $10.  They also offer a rewards system for subscribers.  You can earn points by reviewing the items you get in your bags, sharing your ipsy bag on social media, etc. You can then redeem your points for products (often items which were featured in previous months) on the ipsy website.

The July 2016 ipsy theme was “Hot Summer Nights” and included the following items:

~VASANTI COSMETICS Professional Eyeshadow Brush ($21): This brush is designed for placing, highlighting, and blending color. It’s very versatile, and the quality is amazing.

~GLAMGLOW GRAVITYMUD Firming Treatment (.5oz) ($24.64): This makes this month’s ipsy bag for me.  Everything else could be meh (which it’s not), and I would still be happy because I got GLAMGLOW!  This is one of their newer products which has me extra excited because I hadn’t tried it yet.  It’s a pre-makeup peel off mask.  It changes color when it dried (usually in 20-30 minutes) and then you just peel off when it’s done.  It for sure made my skin tighter, but I didn’t see any real “lifting.”  Not yet anyway.  But I am going to keep using 2x week until this runs out.

~Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré (7.5mL) ($4): This is a nourishing, multitasking moisturizer that primes, hydrates, and removes all traces of makeup.  I love a good multi-tasking product, and this fits the bill.  I have received this in a different box and thought it was amazing for traveling.  I will be using this one for the same purpose.

~MAKE UP FOR EVER Excessive Lash (2.5mL) ($7.27): This mascara has a “small brush” that is designed by and for professional makeup artists to reach and coat every lash.  I love the small brush.  It really does get those hard to reach lashes without coating the rest of your lashes in even more mascara.  I didn’t think this was clumpy or dry either.

~BelláPierre Cosmetics Banana Setting Powder (4g) ($35): Wow, I did not expect this to be FULL SIZE! Banana setting powder has a yellow hue to counteract any redness or discoloration in your skin.  You can use it under eye makeup, for spot correcting or as a base for eyeshadow.  I tested it as a spot corrector, and it really works.  One note, though – apply lightly. It’s easier to add more than to try and deal with taking it off.

~The Bag: This bag is probably one of my favorites they have done to date. It changes color in the light, and I love the beach umbrellas!

The July 2016 ipsy had a value of $91.91.  That is an INCREDIBLE value, and I feel like this is the best ipsy ever.  I loved this bag so much!

I am jelious, mine was not nearly as good as yours, not even close. I really was a huge fan of Ipsy, but my last 2 bags really haven’t been very good, i’m giving then another month, if I don’t care for it, i’ll be canceling my subscription. I got an extremely small angle brush from Luxie #215, good brand, but the only thing it might be good for, is eyeliner, its that small. I got Eau Thermale Avene, Thermal Spring Water, which is for sun burns, diaper rashes, facial redness, razor burn. Next Meet Matt(e) Trimony by The Balm eyeshadow, next Thrive Infinity Waterproof Eyeliner in Lauren, and lastly Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre. The only thing in the lot that i’ll use is the Lait-Creme Concentrale, I really wanted the Glamglow and Banana powder, they have really been giving me alot of eyeshadows, eyeliners, and mascaras, you can only use so much of the samethings.

I don’t know if this helps or hurts (probably a little of both), but my profile is totally blank in ipsy.

        Worth a try. Thanks
