Julep is a monthly nail polish (and beauty) subscription service. They offer a “My Maven” box for $24.99/month which contains $40+ worth of product and polish each month. You are able to fully customize your box so you are guaranteed to receive only products you think you’ll love!
Julep ships via FedEx Smart Post out of Ohio and tends to take just a few days to arrive to me. You make your selections for the box between the 20th and 25th of the month and you can expect to receive your box in the first few days of the next month.
The July 2016 Julep theme was “Into the Sea”. My box contained the following items:
~Annalise (Boho Glam) ($11.20 / $14): Annalise is a vivid wisteria ghost iridescent. In some lights it looks more lavender and in other lights you can really see that iridescent shimmer. I love it.
~Luella (Color of the Year) ($11.20 / $14): Luella is a Rose quartz crème. I have been on the hunt for some pretty pale polishes and this totally fits the bill. It has just the slightest pink hue and will be the next polish on my nails. I am going to layer some white under so I don’t need a ton of coats of this.
~Lip Shade – Sheer Lip Butter: This lip butter has a SPF 30 and is a nice cross between a lip butter and a sheer lipstick. I selected the barely there “Sheer” and it really did look like my lips, but better. Note: According to an e-mail sent out from Julep last week, subscribers who opted for the Sheer Lip Butter would see a delay with their shipments. They noted that boxes with the Sheer Lip Butter wouldn’t be sent out until this week. That doesn’t seem to be the case with my box since it arrived before they said it would ship.
Add-Ons: This month for my add-ons (which are an additional cost on top of the monthly box price) I selected: 1) Clean Slate Conditioning Nail Polish Remover & Pump, 2)Your Lip Addiction – Clear and 3) Ta Da! I actually received two bonus polishes (usually you just get one free gift when you select 3+ add-ons) this month! I got: Mickey (Classic With A Twist) & Laure (Wonder Maven). The add-ons are always discounted and I love that they send a freebie (or two) when you order 3+ polishes.
I couldn’t find a price for the Lip Butter so I couldn’t do a cost breakdown on this box. I was quite pleased with my selections and super happy the box wasn’t delayed as they had noted it would be.
