Stitch Fix August 2016 Subscription Box Review

Stitch Fix is a personal styling service for women. With Stitch Fix, you provide your style, size (they also do maternity fixes), and budget preferences, and they will send you a package of stylish goodies to try on at home. You only pay for the items you love and decide to keep. There is a $20 styling fee which is applied to your order should you decide to keep any / all of the pieces.  If you don’t keep anything, you don’t receive a refund of the fee. If you keep all of the pieces, you get a 25% discount on everything!  Also, I should mention that you are only charged once you “check out” at Stitch Fix.  You have a few days to try everything on and the box comes with a bag and a prepaid USPS return label so you can easily ship back the pieces you aren’t interested in.

Stitch Fix shipped via FedEx (out of Dallas) this month and took just a few days to arrive. Stitch Fix ships from a few different warehouse locations in the US. I used to think they shipped based on your location, but I’m not so sure anymore.

I asked for a brightly colored Fix this month and it seemed like they delivered!

My August 2016 Stitch Fix (which is Fix #35 for me) contained the following:

~Skies Are Blue Wexford Embroidered Detail Knit Top ($54): I love everything about this top!  The fit is perfect and I love the neckline.  The pattern and color are also great for me.  I have nothing else like this in my closet either!  Verdict: Kept.

~41Hawthorn Carla Crochet Detail Blouse ($58): I like the color and the detail on this shirt, but the fit was awful. It was boxy and the armholes were too big.  It was also too short and the fabric was not at all forgiving. Verdict: Returned.

~Le Lis Parsons Knit Top ($38): This is another love!  The stripes / floral combo is beautiful and I love the colors.  I love the length (I prefer longer shirts) too. Verdict: Kept.

~Papermoon Sabi Crochet Detail Knit Tank ($44): Ugh. I love everything about this, but I don’t think it’s “me”. I know I would wear it here and there, but I don’t think I would wear it enough to keep it. Verdict: Returned (Sadly)

~Level 99 Shauna Skinny Jean ($108): I probably should have specified in my fix that I didn’t want colorful jeans.  I know these aren’t a bright color, but they are way too expensive for something I would wear once or twice. Verdict: Returned.

I think my stylist did a great job with this month’s Fix.  I am keeping two items that I LOVE and I am happy with that.
