~Good morning! This has been such a strange week. Everyday feels like Monday. All is well though and we had a great 4th of July. Traffic on the way home wasn’t so great, but I guess that’s the price you pay for fun ;).
~I finished up two books over the holiday weekend. I am done with “First Comes Love” by Emily Giffin and Modern Lovers by Emma Straub. First up – First Comes Love. I liked this one way better her last one (The One & Only that came in that POPSUGAR box). I feel like Emily Giffin’s books are growing up. Or maybe I am just reading them differently as I get older? Regardless I liked this one. The characters were deep, but at the same time I feel like they could be your neighbors down the street? Now Modern Lovers. I actually liked her last book (The Vacationers) better. There was a lot going on in here and I sometimes had to go back and double check who was telling the story, but it kept my interest and I did enjoy it. I felt satisfied when I was done reading each of these. Without spoiling anything I can say that I wasn’t left wondering about any of the characters or what was going to happen to them.
~It’s been a really slow subscription box week. I am waiting on Degustabox, GlobeIn, GlobeIn Benefit Basket and a few others that I can’t figure out. My POPSUGAR (Mini and Full-Size) boxes have shipped, but I won’t seen them until next week I am sure. This should be a good week to get caught up!
